La collection puise sa richesse dans la diversité du fond iconographique de l’Agence photographique de la Réunion des musées nationaux – Grand Palais. Celle-ci constitue la plus belle collection d’images d’art en France : elle rassemble près de 600 000 œuvres, issues des grands musées nationaux et régionaux français tels que le Louvre ou le musée d’Orsay, mais aussi de certaines prestigieuses collections étrangères comme la National Gallery de Londres et le Metropolitan Museum à New York.

Les grands classiques de l’Histoire de l’Art y côtoient des images inédites et surprenantes, finement sélectionnées par les iconographes de l’Agence. D’une qualité incomparable, les reproductions conservent la définition, le piqué et la colorimétrie des œuvres originelles sans les dénaturer. The collection "The most beautiful ... in the history of art"
The collection draws its richness in diversity of the iconographic background Photographic Agency of the RMN - Grand Palais.
