Gallica for Android
Please, add the feature to download EPUB files.
J'ai essayé d'installer l'application une dizaine de fois en une heure, en vain. Le chargement se passe bien mais l'installation s'interrompt au bout de quelques minutes sans que je sache pourquoi.
This is probably one of the most unstable apps I have on my phone. Just a few bugs: It's so slow that can't even load a page from "Le Temps". (I do have a working net connection.) Also, why is it not possible to DL articles any more? They are supposed to be free. I can't even view a set of photos, too. There's no way to b'mark a periodical, so you need to perform a search each time you need to access its articles. And the app doesn't run in the background. How smart is that?
Virtually useless app that gives access to an equally useless French national resource that is very poorly organised. I am a fluent french speaker so that is not an issue. Rather its the ludicrous organisation of material. Searching for anything on WW2 resistance leader Jean Moulin brings up exactly nothing!! .. after 35 mins. trying different search words. Its like using the net in the early 1990s..clunky, slow frustrating. AVOID. Use english language sources instead
Finding books is easy if you know exactly what you are looking for. However, download link does not work so it is not possible to read offline.
Thank you BnF for this convenient app which allows me to easily research and download precious hisyorical archives from my tablet. I hope that many National Libraries will try to emulate this app in the future.
Just a perfect application!
