Every single time there is a different bus schedule that is not accurate

I've been using this app on and off again for the past year and a half. I really like it, thanks!

K70%
by K####:

Worked well enough, was quicker than using the website through my phone. But the search boxes for stops don't work as intelligently as the site does. A search for "Fairview mall st Catharines" yielded Toronto stops at the top with the st Catharines stop buried at the bottom.

Not very efficient in calculating a route. I tested the app using the route I often use to get to work thinking it show up. Instead it determined that the best possible route would take longer with an alternate bus route and to take the bus at a later time which I know I could take earlier given my start time. Once again it goes to show that sometimes the best computing option is your BRAIN!

K70%
by K####:

There is something seriously wrong with your app. Only shows GO bus routes. No city buses are running just GO buses? I don't think so. Thanks for making my exam week more stressful.

GO transit replaced something simple and functional with a clunky app that has more issues. Updates now take much longer and prone to being stuck at 1%

I70%
by I####:

What an epic failure! The 'end of life' app was so much better.

H70%
by H####:

The Android app was not designed nearly as well as the Apple one. The "My Location " doesn't work. When selecting the leave at time the OK is on the wrong side. I normally end up cancelling my time by accident. The routes are sometimes longer than they should be. For example, today it suggested I take a trip past where I should get off go around a loop and come back which would cause me to be later and I would have to cross 2 streets opposed to 1. Give your info to Google and give up.

Like this app is such bs like this real time stuff is so off you tell people me be a bus stop a current time you their and the bus already left have you waiting around for 20 40 mins if this dumb app is off its so annoying like and also why is there so Little service to Centennial Go station to union Go!!! Not impressed with go at all so annoyed your paying so much for service that always have you waiting around and I can go on

I never did figure out how to get favourites to work. One of many issues

F70%
by F####:

Good when it works. Only finds train schedules somedays.

Q70%
by Q####:

There are positive updates from time to time. However, sometimes applying a patch takes up to 2 hours, it's faster to reset app data and start again

A70%
by A####:

Use this in combination with other apps. You can't find particular routes. But the planning is very very good. Gives you three options which your gonna do anyway

K70%
by K####:

So helpful

I70%
by I####:

It lists every trip regardless of time/location as having no possible routes. Never did this before but only after an update. Before said update, it was applying patches every time, so I would never use it when I needed it.

This app has a lot of potential, but it seems like the people who made it have not taken it to the logical and obvious conclusion that you might actually want to use the app to get information about trips you want to take in the future, or to destinations you are less familiar with. The interface is not intuitive and the geographic area that is covered is limited to only those places that have transit. Yet many of us use the transit system of the GTHA to get around and have to venture off the transit route.

Way too complicated. I simply want access to complete GO train schedules. This app does not do that. A better option is to struggle with the GO website and download the pdf. Misses the mark set by the old Ryerson app by miles. Deserves a zero or less rating.

K70%
by K####:

First off, why does the app need access to storage? Maybe if I wanted to download offline schedules, sure, but I don't. Second, it seems every time I open the app it has to download data. Third, I'm also always pressured to sign up for an account which I don't want to do. Fourth, whenever I set my start point and time, it doesn't show a bus/train at that time but rather for that time at the first stop on the line, so I have to go back in time so my stop is at the right time. It also skips certain schedules.

I thot google maps was bad so wanted to try this. Jeez, u never know what u have unless u try something worse. Toooo complicated and wrong info.

D70%
by D####:

Does not work. Just like everything else that Metrolinx does. #FAIL

A70%
by A####:

Waste of time set up on Internet but not able to log into app.

K70%
by K####:

That option is available on the website just not the app and I use that feature all the time when planning trips. Please add it

Y70%
by Y####:

Very poor design and poor usability.

K70%
by K####:

Took a bit to get used to. Adding favorites is a great feature. I enjoy very much being able to adjust my route and not have to use location services on my phone if so needed. I feel the usability could be better so I rated it 4 stars instead of 5.

W70%
by W####:

Great when it works. Sometimes it seems the times are way off, or that there is a bus due to arrive that never does. My other issue is, every other time I open this app, it's applying a patch. This should be kilobytes, why does it take so long. Most times the gps thinks I'm at home, none of my other apps have issues with my GPS. It always thinks I'm home. When it does work, and the buses arrive when they say they will, and the GPS works, then I would say it's a must have.

Q70%
by Q####:

This app tries to do too much and much of it not well. You can't look at a train schedule and have any easy idea when it arrives at destinations . The Ryerson Go app was simple and gave all information in an intuitive format without having to plan trips. This app needs work.

F70%
by F####:

There is no overview and no clear indication of connections.

K70%
by K####:

Honestly, I don't think people are figuring out how to use this app. You can simply create an account and then you can save routes and easily access them with a couple clicks. I use the GO bus to get to McMaster and I find it useful. At least it's better than their old app.

X70%
by X####:

Each time I open it, it says it needs to update trip info. Then, it takes several minutes to do so, during which, I can't do anything else in the app. This only happens on my Galaxy Note 3 phone. On my Galaxy Note 8 tablet, the updating takes just a few seconds.

K70%
by K####:

I hardly ever take transit but I'd like to more often. This app is not intuitive. For an app that metrolinks attached it's name to I'd expect that would get the simple things right. Like show the suggested routes on a map interface and not require extensive updates whenever the app is opened

K70%
by K####:

Way too complicated for every day use.

K70%
by K####:

Been working with this for the past 2 weeks and it works well. Doesn't eat too much data.

K70%
by K####:

This app really hep me busing around gta .Great

K70%
by K####:

Not able to sign in

K70%
by K####:

Really easy to use and accurate

G70%
by G####:

Absolute garbage compared to the app ryerson students created but was dis-continued. This is a marginally useful application. Most users are not looking for one size fits all solution to outdo Google maps. We just need your train schedules and status of departures. A simple photo of your schedule card and the Union station status screen to be accessible on a smartphone is all that most users need. 90% of your riders take the same route day in and day out. I think understanding user need first is critical.

K70%
by K####:

Missing train routes. i.e. the 4:40 Lakeshore East train leaving Union does not appear when planning a trip, but appears on the schedules. The Durham bus 308 timetable is messed up, starting with arrival time at end of route instead of the time it departs Whitby station. Also, when trying to figure out when the next bus comes you need to know the time the bus starts the route at the beginning, or you can't figure out when the next bus comes (when you are in the middle of the route waiting for a pickup).

X70%
by X####:

Tried a few apps for trip planning, including this one as recommended on the GO transit website. Terrible performance, and no offline capability sank this app. Downloads '000s of routes, etc., and is effectively useless if cell service isn't available. Had much better results with Mon Transit app.

K70%
by K####:

Missing features, no offline functionality, slow, poor search capability, and far more time-consuming (steps needed, buttons click, errors to check, separately) then other apps, most obviously Google maps, which is far better.
