Remote Android TV

Pretty decent. Picked up my shield straight away and just worked. Useful.as a backup when the shield remote goes missing.

This just works, while Google's own app seems to constantly fail.

Wifi? Please inform me why we have to be on wifi to connect to the tv?

The major concerns were connection stability and the interface, but this application is beyond expectations. The interface is beautiful, the connection is stable, and it comes with all the required features, nothing that can be pointed out as waste of resources. Google's Nexus player remote app kept on dropping connection, and sometime it would start running through everything on TV with just a single push of button. At least someone beat Google to a better app for their product.

Great app but it needs to be fully in English. I like the ability to launch apps on my Shield TV but it would be better if the apps were in a drop down menu on the remote d-pad and swipe screens so you didn't have to jump around in the sidebar to navibate your app. There's plenty of room between the back and home button to fit an app drop down menu. Also it would be nice to add apps by package names or at least by choosing apps that exist on your device already. Another thing is that there is a bug that when you select the swipe menu it shows the d-pad until you click on the d-pad and then go back to the swipe menu.

Google should be ashamed. This app blows Google's default app out of the water for attractiveness, usability and features! I hugely recommend it. I only wish that the notification had controls more similar to the default android TV app, and that it had an app for my smart watch. Also, it would be nice if it supported more apps or at least somehow got a list of installed apps from the device - as of now I can't get Pandora from the app and there's another app that I love but isn't widely used that I'd like to be able to launch as well.

I switched to this app after the Sony smart TV app stopped working for me. The only problem I've come across so far is that the program switching buttons don't work for my TV (Sony KDL-50W800C) in the Dpad section, however I am able to change channels by manually inputting the channel number in the TV channels section.

This app saved me when my nexus player remote stopped working I love that I can get to my nexus apps on it wish it had more tho YouTube kind of sucks can't search and can't get to everything from my profile and would be great If the notification for the app could be turned on stay there after I close it and had more options

Works amazing with the shield tv (only thing I have with android tv) The volume and channel buttons are great additions. Being able to launch apps from the phones homescreen and have them open instantly on the shield is epic. Give yourself more appreciation and a better description so people know how great your app is. Thank you devs

Great app, but it doesn't show all channels from my TV channel's list. My TV is connected to the set top box by the IR blaster. I can change the channels and also put the channel number to find that, but I can't find the channels from the list given in this app as it shows only some french channels, that I don't watch at all. Please fix this problem

More options than Google's Android TV remote app. Connection was easy and the remote works pretty good. The only problem is the app list only shows Google apps and you can't edit the tv channels.

As I installed app it looked very nice with good options, but Unfortunately it did not work properly and in first time it stopped four times on my phone!!!

Tried this because the official Google one sucks and apparently this one does too. I don't understand how hard it is to make an app that just connects and works. Guess I'll keep searching.

Not connecting to Shield TV at all. Just says Error Occured Update: latest update seems to have fixed it. Thanks!

Better than the Google andriod tv remote. Please add SPMC to the apps or add a way to create our own apps to launch. Update it no longer connects

Great great great app. Beats the Google app by a mile! Even controls volume which the Google app does not. My only grips is that it's tied to French TV. Would be nice if it showed MY TV listings.

Never connects to my Nvidia Shield. I always get a generic connection error but it finds and identifies my Shield on the network.

"An error occurred" looks like the shield error is still a thing.

"No Android TV found", for my Shield on the same network. Edit: A year later it works.

It can't find TV itself. No manual connection option. Doesn't work.

It's a nice application but why only the French guide? Could you add an option to disable the channels and guide options? Disregard all the low ratings, it beats the pants out of Googles' own remote.

Keeps disconnecting from my shield and then won't reconnect unless I delete and reinstall...very frustrating. When it is working, I like it alot.
