Talking Dominoes Scorer

This application is designed for tablets having a 7-inch or larger screen. The application keeps and totals scores for up to eight players and up to twelve hands of popular dominoes games.

At any time during the game, the app can announce the current player scores by name, ranking, and points. The user may select either of two (UK or US) English speaking voices for announcing the scores.

The state of the game scores is retained when the user exits the app or when another app places the Talking Dominoes Scorer into the background. The state of the app is restored the next time the app is launched or returned to the foreground.

Menu options are provided to announce scores, clear all player names and scores, or to just the player scores. Tips for using the app are also available via a menu selection.

There are on-screen shortcuts (long press of specific cells) for announcing scores, clearing the name and scores for a single player, and clearing all names and scores. These are listed in the tips.

If the tablet executing the application is operating from external power (i.e. AC adapter), then the application will keep the screen from timing out. Otherwise the tablet's normal screen timeout will blank the display as usual.
