Gigbeat - Concerts for Android

GigBeat will also remind you when a concert you've starred is coming up, or notify you when it finds new tour dates in your area for artists you are tracking.
GigBeat is currently fully supported on Android phones running version 2.1 or higher and is compatible with Honeycomb tablets, but a more polished version for tablets is coming very soon.

This app never worked, not even once. Just force closing straight away. Nexus 6, Marshmallow.
Easy to use. No nonsense! :)
Love this app but tends to crash a lot. When it has worked consistently it's great and would happily pay for it. Wish it could scan Google Play music as I don't use any of the others. High hopes for 2.0
This happened with another app called gigbox. They did a great job and went for so long doing exactly what I wanted. Now it seems like they've stopped supporting it again like they did with the other and you can't find bands or shows at all
The search function is useless. It never finds any of the bands I am looking for. I thought this would be the case with obscure bands but it can't even find well established bands. I used to love this app and told friends about it but not any more. I previously sent messages to the developer about the problems but dud not hear anything back! Poor service! I am now looking fir a better app so I can uninstall this one.
Before the recent update, this was a great app. Since the last update, very disappointed, do anything beyond the home page (everytime), and the app stops working and has to force close.
I installed this on my Nexus 7 tonight, excited to get to use it on a bigger screen, but it force closes every time I try to do anything. Very disappointing. Please fix it!
I love this app. It serves me well, and I feel like I'm always in the know as to when bands are coming to town. However, the search function is no longer working for me. It yields no results no matter how popular the artist or venue. What's the deal? Please fix ASAP.
I'm forever thankful this app alerted me to J Mascis playing in town! Must of been fate! Give it a go!
I have no choice but to delete it and tell everyone about how bad this app really is
crashes opening gig details every time. uninstalling....shame.
I actually love this app, BUT, it just listed a show I had bought tickets for on the wrong date! (Nneka in Oakland, CA) so it was part of my confusion over when the show took place. I missed the show.
Doesn't find bands at all atm, and crashes when you get to the end of a list of gigs etc. Great app before.
Shows the same artists which I guess were used for testing but nothing else. Portrait doesn't work.
Fails miserably in execution. Always list bands not on tour even though "do not list bands not currently on tour" is checked. Only searches built in memory for music no option to select ext SD card where mist people store music. So basically this app doesn't recommend anything especially anyone actually touring your area. This app is like that pretty girl you are dying to hook up with...Then she open her mouth and all you want to do is leave... Uninstalled.
I loved this app because it would notify me of concerts going on in my area. Who wouldn't like that? Unfortunately the app crashes any time audio is played on my device, searching for anything but cities yields no results. Essentially does nothing but crash once installed. It's too bad, really. I'm not aware of another app that performs the same function.
This App gets down to about everything going on in the locations chosen! This app is great! I had OnTour, Bandsintown, and Songkick for a while but it missed a lot of concerts and never got any notifications through them. This app is a 5 star in my book! Fast, to the point and slick interface with awesome notifications.. It also seems to work with Google Play music now, if a band plays, it will send the notification immediately if they are playing in your area. Amazing!!!!
Third time I have tried using Gigbeat and uninstalled it each time as the Search facility fails. What is the point if you cannot search popular bands like Coldplay to be told search failed!!!
Keeps telling me a band will be in town but when I tap the notification it directs me to some other random band and the first band isn't actually in town when I check the venue site.
I've been using this app since my first android phone back in 2012. I was saddened to see that it hasn't gotten an update since then. But I am more than happy to know that the developer is working on a 2.0 version. I shall wait patiently for this!
App no longer gets updates, searches don't work, and website provides 504 HTTP code/error. Is this app toast? No longer a thing??? Love the interface, the tracking by artists, venue, location, etc. Only reason not giving 5 stars is for 2 reasons (and quite possibly out of the developers' hands, but thought I'd state if possible future release can add these features): 1. Integration and ability to scan Google Music artists in. 2. Integration and ability to scan AmazonMP3 Cloud Player.
Crashes but not as often. It would b nice if the widget could open the app. Also it would b great if buying tix didn't take u to a website, defeats the purpose of an app.. I prefer this app over others just because it's very customizable with account settings, it doesn't force social on you (I don't really care what my friends are listening to) and it gives me a nice profile of bands to check out. Also, love the alert notifications, keeps me posted on tickets for sale.
Just got a tablet and it's constantly crashing love it on my phone though.
This app looks awesome and does everything you could want BUT it runs quite glitchy on my GS3. Lists do not scroll smoothly and some transitions hang up the UI for several seconds at a time. Fix for a 5er.
Nexus 7...every click is a "stopped working" been like this for at least 3 months. Unusable the whole time
For some reason since the update, it has used an abnormal amount of data. Used more now than any other app including, more than the next two combined.
Sucks now since update, crashes everytime, roll it back to last version so at least it will eork.
Crashes every time I use it.
I really enjoy this app when it works.
Constantly crashes and will not allow searches for my location. Stick to music paper ads.
Force closes a lot
I love this app but lately I haven't been able to add any new artists to my watchlist. Keeps saying that the artist is not found which I know is bs.
Thank u for adding a category to search shows by Venue. See you @ TheRockShows
Can't search any artists, keeps saying "no artist found"
This app has some great features, like notifying you of upcoming concerts from the artist you're listening to, but using it as a gig guide is frustrating. As far as I can see, there's no view that shows me all upcoming gigs of my artists in my location. I have to go into each touring artist and find my local gig. Too much work. If this view was added, it could be my go to guide.
I needed an app like this. Good thing I found GigBeat.
Fails miserably in execution. Always list bands not on tour even though "do not list bands not currently on tour" is checked. The benefits are not worth the high battery usage of this app that looks abandoned if you're to judge by any recent updates.

Awful app. Do not install. Widget & app itself just says there aren't any gigs or events in my area. Brilliant.
