Yoga Monkey for Android
I LOVE it so far! I have some criticism though from the little I've used it.... When it states to straighten your back it cuts off there and jumps to the next video. ..... Okay. So it is interesting to download so many files, not bad though. This should tell you where to stick around once you finished all of the journey if it doesn't already. Kind regards! *Namaste!* :D
Wish it had an ad free option. If you have never done yoga it might be hard to follow but given the name it is clear a human is not demonstrating. I find very basic even if you are not flexible you will get there.
This is one of the better apps that I have found for yoga. I would like the background music to be a bit louder. I have been doing yoga for 3 years now, one thing I didn't like is they did not you accurate yoga pose names ex. Used box pose instead of table, relax pose instead of child. I would like to hear the correct pose with the sanhedrin also. But all in all it is a great app.
I love how there are sets to help with issues like depression and digestion etc. Love how there is a progress timeline that guides you with different levels from junior to expert. Love how there is a calender that keeps track of your routine to keep you motivational. Not a fan of the animated monkey. Having to download all the single sets through the play store is a bit weird. Not sure what the reasoning is behind that. Absolutely hate the voice! Sounds like the google translate lady! Makes me very uneasy.
Serious insomnia issues solved with one use of this app. Different from any yoga app I've used it a a super easy interface to use and beautiful program .
The explanations tend to be quite superfluous and off time with the video which I tend to rely on more to time my breathing and my transition time. The descriptions being off throw me off as I cannot determine where I am supposed to be before throwing off my entire flow
This is exactly what I needed. Simple interface and nice yoga routines. My cat even enjoyed it, watched the screen as I was following along. He pawed at it, I had to restart the video that I was on ;) I look forward to using this part of my daily routine. My cat probably does too. Haha.
I really love this app! I jaut finished my first course and I'm feeling relaxed and stretched out! This app will definitely help me keep my New Years Resolution. Thank you so much! While I do agree that the transition between each pose should be smoothed out the animation helps, so five stars!!
If i have to download an app then fine but i have download another app within the app?? Thats ridiculous!!!! One app should have at least routines i can do. Instead it tells me to download something else!! Why download this app when i can just download the mini apps?? Im confused and over it!
With an 18th Month old son it can be hard to exercise. This app was easy to understand, quick, and made me feel great. I had tons of energy and zero back pain anymore!
I haven't properly used this app so it may have many great features. The voice over is far too robotic and not at all calming! I found a much better app called Down Dog, which doesn't have specific courses but easily allows you to choose difficulty, time and a playlist. This may be an excellent app for some, but definitely wasn't right for me.
When I put tablet in landscape mode, app in general reacts correctly, except in class mode. For some reason when I choose program screen is forced to portrait mode when I'm in landscape and into landscape when I keep tablet in portrait mode. Quite annoying.
love this app. I did the first two courses and the third one will not unlock no matter how many times I watch the ad or share to friends at the end of the course. if it's fixed, I'll change my review to 5 stars
I love love love this app. I always wanted to do yoga and never really found a good app. I love this one. I do it every morning. There are a few poses I can't do but I keep trying lol and I love the cute monkey lol this app rocks :D I do wish you guys made a course for menstrual pains it sucks I gotta download another app for that but oh well.

Started the first routine and it was not relaxing AT ALL. It was clearly a high quality text to speech program because there's no actual human voice inflection. And it doesn't flow, it just repeats that pose over and over until you manually go to the next. Crap.
Starting off at junior made me disappointed at the app. Decided to do it anyways. It was still challenging in junior mode. And I'm glad it had planned out stretches and movement to prep you for harder routines.
Love the app but some of the transitions in the level 1-3 and 1-4 are messed up and confusing. And 1-3 doesn't even start off with breathing for some reason, its just in the middle of a pose. The visual transitions need to flow better with the verbal guide. Other than those few complaints, i really enjoy using this app. Best guided yoga app I've used.
I have tried so many different yoga apps and none of them really did it for me. They were neither to hard to understand or just had photos. With this app it makes it easy to understand and stretches progress as you get better. Wouldn't ever try another app.

Only two days in and I'm sleeping better, focusing better and it's easier to settle down for bed. I've tried several yoga apps but they just didn't feel right. This seemed to work right away for me. There are a lot of plug-ins but give it a go
I thought this app was great at first but it will not unlock the next course. Other reviewers have had the same problem but no response from developer. Hopefully this is fixed so I can give a better rating.
This app has a cold distant feel to it, something that should definitely not be the case with yoga. It sounds like a computer is reading the script, and staring into the money's cold dead eyes is the stuff of nightmares.
I downloaded a few yoga apps and, unlike others, this ran smoothly and without crashing. I am at the beginner level, so my comment is based upon this early stage of usage, but I find the animations well done and prefer them to a video of a person and the voiced instructions are sufficient to avoid constantly looking at the screen. The transitions can be abrupt, sometimes necessitating a quick change of posture, but overall a great app. Very well designed
Great yoga app, but transitions can be wonky, and difficulty ramps up quick. Biggest gripes is that, during meditation sessions, the narrator talks non stop. Personally would prefer more bkg music or silence.
Never tried yoga but this is great for a beginner. I like that it has different yoga levels for different things. Like one for stress, one for sleep and one for loosing weight. Another good part is its free.
MISLEADAING App...!!! How can somebody even learn yoga seeing these kind of videos done by a MONKEY?? Not even a single video shows breathe-in/breathe-out movements in the monkey which totally makes no sense. I am a trained Yoga person since 25 years and I am sure that every Aasana or Pose we do in yoga should have a breathe-in/breathe-out which is never seen in this MONKEY app. I wish to give a zero rating if I could because these kind of cartoon apps mislead people who really try doing yoga for the first time and end up in learning some kind of circus poses or some gymnastics which results in some injury. I am really surprised to see people like such kind of apps which mislead them to do some circus feats and think that is yoga!! Pity people who are new and trying to follow this app to learn yoga!!!
Nice app, didnt know doing yoga can make u sweat :-) I would preffered to see person doing poses as monkey seems to be extremely flexible with its long arms and lacking body proportions. Could be nice see some shoulder neck stretching/ pain relief excersises. And as mentioned belly cradle is too hard for beginner. But big bonus and Whats most important its FREE and ad only pops out when paused. Thanks creators for not leaching into my personal stuff on the phone.
It's great except it won't transition to 2nd level no matter how many times I watch video or share. I've done level one three days in a row. But I am new to yoga so it is extremely helpful. Pacing is perfect for beginners. Gives you just enough exertion to feel results and just enough rest time to not burn out on your first tries. Great app, just wanting to move forward with it. Thank you for helping me start a healthier lifestyle!
This is the best app by fat in terms of performance, but it didn't track my session at all. Keeps saying I need to practice today, even though I did.

Seems like a good app but I did the first course and it won't unlock the next course. How do I move on and learn more without it unlocking the next course. I'm a bit disappointed now...
If this is Supposed to be suitable for Complete Beginners, Rookies or whatever, then WHY use position Terms I've Never heard of? How the @#£% would I Know what they're supposed to Mean? Ever heard of the phrase " Use Layman speak man!" No? That put me off right away, as soon as I heard strange words I've never Ever EVER heard before! I'm an oldie, (65yrs) I've got Chronic back pain, I want to be Sure your instructor/tutor Knows how to tell me what NOT to do, eg " be careful with........... " Ain't none!
The visuals, graphics, and layouts are sleek, modern, and intising. One down fall is the voice of the narrator. The voice is monotone and not relaxing. The voice sounds demanding and as if the narrator isnt even enjoying the position.
I love how easy this app is to use. The overall design is adorable. The courses are well thought out and very well explained. Not to mention the widgets are just the cutest. I have already recommended it!
I like the app and the concept, However, no matter how many times I do the first course The next course will not unlock. Very Disappointing... :(
An important part of yoga is how you flow or transition from one pose to another. This app almost misses that completely. It will show you how to transition for your right side, but not your left, or it will jump from a standing pose to a lunge. Things like that. Also, I feel like it has you perform poses for too long. A 20 min routine is extended to 45 min. And the voice is very robotic. I stopped using it because of these issues, but haven't deleted it yet. I do like the variety of routines.
It was very cute and very informative. I didn't know how to do yoga AT ALL until I used this app. Now I can go into pro-yoga because of Yoga Monkey. I am also more flexible and lost some weight. Every morning at 9:30, I did yoga with none other than Yoga Monkey! And I strongly suggest you try it too. If you don't like it... just simply uninstall it. Its simple and easy.
If you don't have time or money for a yoga class or you are like me and just like the solo practice, this is pretty cute. Having a monkey doing yoga with you is surprisingly motivating. I will however note that none of the single exercises have exactly how long the entire session is. It does break down the session by pose and the time for each pose, however I am horrible at math. So just a small suggestion to have the length of the single exercises listed.

Didn't have a clue how to do yoga and was curious for some time. Didn't want to spend a lot of money so decided to try the app and I'm more than happy. I can feel that I'm starting to enjoy it very much. Useful and cheap way to get into yoga! Love this little monkey :) Sometimes it's just frustrating how quickly is goes from one exercise to the other..
