Type Machine for Android
Type Machine is a time and "life" saver. Have you ever "lost" a doc while typing due to inadvert erasure or an app or phone "glitch"? Type Machine has it PW saved and ready to copy & paste to allow one to start at the point of loss! Clipper Plus with Sync is, by far, the most used app on my Android Devices. To those concerned about security, don't copy sensitive data OR copy & paste & then delete & Don't Sync. With most saved encrypted data, forget PW & data is gone forever.
My browser of choice (Opera mini, because data compression) has a glitch where sometimes when you submit a form, (e.g. A comment on a blog) it just refreshes the page and erases the text. So it's good for that. However, when I try enable it, it tells me my system language isn't supported, which is Canadian English, (which is a hybrid of US and UK spelling). So I'm using US English. They're virtually the same, but I'd rather use CA English of course. Please configure it to work for your friends up North? =)
This is an excellent app in order to capture and save any word or phrase that a user could typed and had the occurrence of a typed text missing inside any other app being used when such app crash down. So wonderful!
Fantabulous! Saved my butt so many times! Eliminates that terror when something you've typed "disappears". Get it. You'll love it!
**Needs Pixel Imprint support!!** Sometimes I start typing and I get long winded, and you tap one little button incorrectly and lose all of it. (or Android crashes). This app helps with that and it works but needs to add fingerprint support
I love Clipper so much, when I read the description of Type Machine, I bought it sight-unseen. I'll update once I've used it a bit, but I can't imagine not loving it.
This is one of the most fundamentally useful apps on my phone and I wish it existed for every computing platform in existence. It's so incredibly useful! You know what it does and it does it well. Just get it already.
I couldn't tell you how many hours this app has saved me. Probably a lot. Minimal permissions required.
Wherever I try to retrieve lost text, the app isn't functioning - ever. Even though I constantly turn it on. Sucks
Best clipboard because it works automatically. Never looses your text again. It is a kind stucked without improvements and new features. It could have a shortcut on notification bar and return to previous app when copy is selected. No search for keyword is provided, sometimes we just don't remember the correct app to look for. The 5 minutes auto lock is a security concern, it should lock immediately or let it be configurable by user.
This app is a silent lurker, hanging in the background taking note of everything you type. You'll rarely ever use it. When that pesky app crashes and takes your typed data with it however, Type Machine will be there with the backup.
Has saved my (metaphorical) bacon on many occasions. As other people have said, you'll install it and forget about it. And then, one far-off day, you'll be composing some epic prose on your Android device, only to have a misplaced tap or swipe destroy your masterpiece. After a few minutes headbutting walls, wailing about why, at version 6, Android still has no "undo" function — you'll suddenly remember this gem is installed and you'll be able to get it all back again.
...and just lost an extensive app review. Instantly opened my wishlist and purchased this. I thought I'd gotten good at avoiding screw ups like that but this is an app that's a savior when you need it and quiet when you don't.
Freaking awesome. I am a writer and use a tablet and this app saved me some heartache by recovering the otherwise unrecoverable. Thank you type machine
Works with Samsung S5 (Verizon) on KitKat It did not work at first, but I noted it never prompted that other features would need to be disabled when I enabled the accessibility service for the app. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it did then give that prompt, and it still did not work until I rebooted the phone. Works flawlessly now and is much appreciated. Hope the above helps for other S5 users Am hoping it will work on the S7 Edge I will be upgrading to in a couple weeks. UPDATE: works on S7 edge
Sometimes on my Galaxy note 5 I accidently hit the recent apps button while typing and hit close all. This is FRUSTRATING because I have to remember what I was in the middle of typing and it never comes out as good the second time around. Since this program remembers every keystrokes you type I never have to deal with that again. There is even a slider which allows you to see up to a certain keystroke, PER INPUT FIELD. I'm LOVING this developer's apps. (hooks into clipper+ notification).
I can't believe this has less than 5000 users, if you think you don't have use for this you aren't using your device enough. It has saved me from retyping things so much I don't know if I could live without it.
On so many occasions this app has brought back the written down stream of thoughts that otherwise would have been lost due to some web or connection glitch. Wonderful.
Was useful but one day it started deactivating ITSELF. Now when I try to check my recently typed paragraphs after an error I get to see how this app isn't even turned on in my system preferences. I never turned it off.
I'd seen this before a few years ago, and was tempted to get it as I use my mobile for everything outside of work really, but was put off by the lack of trial... Anyway, just got it and it's already one of my favourite apps, and one I'll include on my list of recommended apps for people new to Android... Love it! (it'd be great if there was an option to automatically delete entries with fewer than XX characters though, allowing the user to set the number)...
I've typed things in the internet (chrome) lost the info because of browser error and gone in the app to retrieve what I wrote and there's been nothing saved. Oh it may save search history, but hasn't done what it's supposed to do because no typed info in other apps save either. The only blacklisted apps are game apps so should be saving all typed text. Right? Dies.not. work. At. All. Don't bother to download. Would be a awesome if it actually did. Keep working on it buddy.
I accidentally deleted a great review I wrote on another app remembered I'd installed type machine and boom reposted my review
I don't know how many times an app will crash or lose internet connectivity at the worst possible time, and lose everything I just typed. Type Machine to the rescue...
Does what it says it will.only problem is that it can only cover two weeks,a month+ and saving to cloud or sd card etc would be very handy..One of the most helpful, useful and time saving apps I have ever found since before Android was even called android...just waiting for a few more useful options ,then 5+ stars.
**Needs Nexus Imprint support!!** Sometimes I start typing and I get long winded, and you tap one little button incorrectly and lose all of it. (or Android crashes). This app helps with that.
I would love for it to add several features like search and a more flexible time amount before auto delete.
This has saved me many times from having lost what I typed. It's very fast, capturing every word. A search function would be an improvement.
It's not saving anything I type.. Haven't got a clue why...
Thank you very much to the developer for this essential app which works well on my Lollipop devices.
Ever hit the back button by accident?
Genuinely clever and useful app; fingerprint support would be great.
App development seems dead. Last update was mid 2015.
Thanks, devs o7
I hate having to reenter my masterpieces for any reason and up until now I've had to (usually) remember to copy the text before submitting etc just in case. Some apps don't even allow copy of the text! I've just started using it but so far very impressive, authors other apps get high ratings for large numbers of votes so I'm confident it will work or bugs will be fixed. The only Negative is that the is no support forum or issue voting or bug list.
I reinstalled it on my tablet and it seems to be working just fine. I suspect I did not install it correctly the first time.
I kept having a problem where I'd be typing a message in WhatsApp or fb Messenger and need to leave the app to do something else on my phone. I'd go back to my message to find everything I'd typed was gone! It happened 3x in 2 hrs w/WhatsApp! Infuriated by this I set out for an app to solve my problem. I already had Clipper including the paid upgrade made by this developer (awesome app!) so I knew I liked this developer's work. When I saw Type Machine I bought it immediately! Love it! Thanks rojekti!
Right?
It might not be needed often but when it's needed, it prevents a world of panic and frustration. I was able to use it the first day while writing a detailed review on an app I was uninstalling. I hit a wrong area of the screen and panicked when my entire review disappeared. I then remembered I had installed this app earlier in the day. My frustration was immediately ended upon finding that my time had not been wasted. This app made all the frustration go away. It was easy, efficient & calming.
I've used this since it became available. Don't need it often but when I do it sure saves a lot of frustration. Edit 7/20/15: Worked great on my Note 2 w/KitKat. Won't work at all on my newly acquired Note 4 w/Lollipop.

I have narcolepsy (no it's not funny) and fall asleep while typing on phone. Annoyingly 70% of the time if my finger rests on the delete key, everything I'm typing is gone. This app let's me "undo" that. Saves many hours of frustration. Thank you. I'll promote this app in narcolepsy community for you.
