About 3D Gyro Compass
Combines accelerometer, magnetometer and gyroscope sensor data with state-of-the-art AHRS algorithm to create fast, accurate and stable tilt-compensated compass that simply needs to be experienced with own eyes.
The app utilizes Rightware's leading Kanzi framework for smooth rendering with HW accelerated 3D graphics. There are two different themes to choose from: traditional style "Adventure" and modern "Marine".
As a bonus, Marine mode contains a damped string suspension with modeled physics for rough conditions. No matter how you move the device, the compass ball just seems to be magically floating in the air.

Notice:
- The algorithm requires all three movement sensors. Some fairly modern devices in the market do not include gyroscope (for example, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1).
- Marine mode ball compass is supposed to be viewed from side, not from top. Directions seem opposite if viewed from top.

What is this? Gyro or magnetic compass? There is no menu, it is not clear what direction is shown, magnetic, true...and how I must hold the phone - vertically or horizontally? Normally the phone is horizontally put, but the direction that way is 180 deg opposite, N is S and S is N.

The first thing that greets is an end user license agreement several pages long, small text and unreadable on that background. Do they think the are Microsoft? Ditched!

... not all that practical. Pros: two themes; zoom feature when in the old-world theme (which is a work of art); level indicator; ad-free. Cons: no instructions; no side window display of the bearing.

Thanks for fixing the graphics issues. Looks great now! Only complaint would be the light reflection on the ball compass being a bit bright, but not a big deal. :)

looks great but the actual values for azmuth,roll and pitch are difficult to read. Has no declination compensation (gps) to find absoluut north.

Works perfect except east is west and north is south I don't know if it's just for my phone other compass image is perfect why not the blue one?

Wow. Not only does this app work but the graphics really pop right out at you. Like having a real compass in your hand. Like seeing visual reactions not just numbers like most other apps.
