AppConfig lets you configure system settings on per-app basis. Settings are automatically applied when you use your applications and restored when you leave them. It'll show notification on status bar with currently applied settings and clicking on it takes you straight to settings for current app for easy manipulation.

If you choose not to show notification system can kill background service more eagerly, so if you notice any problems please try to change that option.
Settings you can configure
• Brightness - auto/manual and dimming for both
• Screen orientation - landscape/portrait/sensor based orientations
• Screen timeout - time/never
• Media volume
• Mobile data - on/off
• Wi-Fi - on/off
• Bluetooth - on/off
• Location - off/networks/GPS/GPS and networks
• Language
Location and language settings won't work on all devices! Language settings work on Androids older than 4.2, but location settings always need rooted device or you to grant permissions to AppConfig manually.
• Android 4.1.1 or newer ROOTED
If AppConfig recognizes that you have root permissions and your package manager supports granting permissions, it will show menu item for requesting permissions. Click on it and when your system asks grant root permissions and settings will appear in AppConfig.
• Android 4.1.1 or newer without root
If your device isn't rooted but package manager supports granting permissions you need to manually grant permissions to AppConfig with adb:
adb shell
pm grant fi.aarosoft.appconfig.paid android.permission.CHANGE_CONFIGURATION
pm grant fi.aarosoft.appconfig.paid android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS
First one is for language settings and second one is for location settings.

On older devices if you copy AppConfig as system app and reboot, then it can change location settings. I take no responsibility if you brick your device in the process. You have been warned.

By default the app enables screen rotation even when disabled in system settings. It is not OK.

This is a great app. I like its functionality but it would be better if you can add time profile for brightness option. I found myself adjusting the brightness of some apps twice a day for day light and night time. Purchased the app to show my support

I just bought this app but haven't really played around with it much yet. But I do hope you can incorporate a toggle for GPS, that way for example, GPS can be turned on when the Maps app is opened for navigation purposes, and then turned off when the app is closed.

Great app. Love it. However, since installing this app my contacts will keep randomly appearing. Seems to happen with motion sensors. It is annoying. I also agree about getting rid of you notification icon. We like your product more without it. UPDATE: useful for switching to landscape mode on apps that do not support it. Still tired of notification icon.

Certainly good in what it allows you to control, but no initial first use guide and settings have no explanation under them for what each would do in a general scenario. Also, I use apps such as Lux Dash and Juice Defender, so the app needs to take apps such as those into account in order to 'play nicely' with them. Also, the app shouldn't have to constantly display in the notification bar. Should force YouTube videos to be full screen.

First of all I like this app and I find extremely useful to setup a different screen timeout for applications in which I read something (browser, reading apps, feedly, etc). The main problem is that often it seems simply not working. I have configured a screen timeout of 3 minutes for Chrome, sometimes when I open Chrome I can see the AppConfig's icon on the top-bar and it means it's working, sometimes I open Chrome and the icon doesn't appear (and infact in those cases the screen turns off after 30-seconds-as-defined-in-phone-settings). The only solution to this is re-open AppConfig, disable screen timeout for chrome, re-enable it and it works again. (Chrome it's just an example, the problem happens with all apps) I hope you will fix the problem and maybe find a way to make the app not-killable as all others apps
