Pocket Programming - Rails - for Android
The app does what it says but the English used is poor (guessing the author isn't a native English speaker) which can make some of the questions hard to understand. Also the text of the questions often breaks in the middle of the word which is annoying. Would happily give a 4* if these issues were fixed. In terms of content, the quizzes are a good length and progress through the concepts and features at a sensible pace and in a good order.
I like the idea and the format. But like others have said thed English is poor making it harder to understand the questions.
Good app for committing Ruby and Rails terms and principles to memory.
It's useful for me. I think this is good app.
The English needs some editing and the words could wrap better but the app is great and it's really helped me. Question.. How do I turn the sound off?
Pros: I liked the concept alot, good information, and it had a good UI. Cons: Readability and word breaks need to be cleaned up. App became frustrating to use after a while.
Best app to learn the basics before you start programming. Keep up the good work!!
It's not lerning it's oredey crowing..
It’s really fun to do the quizzes! Unlike other apps like Swifty and Lrn, Pocket Programming allows you to learn programming without writing codes. So I would say this app is a great start for programming beginners. I also quite like the design:)
This app doesn't teach programming in ruby. It just throws you a bunch of grammatically incorrect and incoherent questions.

Great app, interactive, simple. I never seen this type app without coding. But it's effective, good idea. This app is helpful after tutorials.
There is no lesson here, only test questions. How are you supposed to know if they don't explain first? Only good if you want to test yourself after learning somewhere else. Not for beginners at all. Also, lacks usability and there are language mistakes.
I read an article which made this sound like an app for learning to code. The authors of that article had certainly not tried the app they wrote about. This is not for learning. Its just a quiz on ones knowledge of facts and trivia related to Ruby and other programming concepts.
