Installed and started using easily. However within in a week. The light bulb schedule went inactive, tried to run app to correct it could nor connect/find "mesh". It Kept restarting blue tooth trying to connect to bulbs but to no avail. It may be the app or the bulbs...does not matter to be...does not work, glad I only bought 1 bulb.
The app would be so much better if it worked as expected. Half the time when trying to turn off the lights, they turn off periodically, but when you check back or come home they're still or back on. This app is only worth 1star at this moment, needs some work. It could be a great app!!
Tried the smart bulb today. Getting multiple devices set up to use the bulb is problematic. Only one person can have the app enabled at a time, and the app lacks an exit feature for force a disconnect. If the app would disconnect properly after a minute this would be acceptable. the app needs more polishing work. If I do a long press on the icon and the app asks me if I want to take a picture or choose an icon I should be able to back out at this point in some fashion but the dialog merely ignores this.
It is working only the first time. Then the schedule becomes the best random generator i have ever seen and all that the app can do is to search mesh connect mesh lose connection search mesh and so on in a never ending loop until the battery of the phone die. No kidding i had time and tried to figure out how long the loop can go... 3 hr and still going. Not been able to connect...
Great concept, crappy product. Every single time I try to turn the bulb off with the app it immediately comes back on. Randomly comes on without warning then can't turn off. Doesn't pay attention to schedules. Over all a crap product. Wouldn't recommend for anyone to waste their money.
I like it, but it does fail a lot so I have to reset it by unplugging. Wish I could set it too dim over ten minutes with just a push of the button, rather than having to reset the rescedule; I quite like that feature for when I'm falling asleep. Seems to grow plants well too, have it growing my garlic, chammolie, etc. I really hope they do at least one more round of updates for this, but judging by the last being in June its most likely a dead product.
I admit i didnt read the directions so maybe thats why it worked so well the first time. I put my bulb in the lamp and turned it on to make sure it worked then turned it off downloaded the app, put in pin, and while it was searching for my bulb turned the lamp back on. Found it in seconds. App works like a charm.
It worked for a while. Then it just wouldn't connect to the system of bulbs anymore. We have uninstalled the app and reset the bulbs multiple times. We can no longer control our bluetooth light bulbs because this app doesn't work. What do you call something that is incapable of fulfilling its intended purpose? Worthless. Update: It still sucks. We are now turning off all lights by hand because nothing works. Why did we buy these for more than double what regular bulbs cost when they function as regular bulbs?
Only a day into use but so far so good. Only thing worth suggesting at this point is the dimmer feature needs to be separated from the on/off function. When trying to use the dimmer, the on/off function thinks it's been tapped. Very annoying. Perhaps moving the dimmer to a different part of the screen and not surrounding the on/off space.
I have had this product for over a year and it has done exactly as it needed. However ok multiple occasions it just stops working and my phone no longer recognizes it as a parable bulb. The app just continually loops trying to connect and the bulb flickers and flashes when it does. I always have had to reset the bulb and start new sadly
Worked for one month then started messing up. Have followed the 2 count them two suggestions from the website with no luck. Continues to not connect. 20$ down the drain in my opinon. Do not buy this product, and since your not purchasing the bulbs then there is no point in downloading this pointless app!
Connected once. Now after many Uninstalls and reinstalls it can't find the "mesh" so the whole point of this bulb is useless. Over paid$22 60w LED bulb is what it has been reduced to. Should have just bought a regular led bulb would have saved a lot of money or I could have gotten more bulb for my money.
It's easier to walk around in the dark than to fight with the app. Poor connectivity; ran my phone battery from 37% to 2% while trying to connect with the mesh. Poor UI - always defaults to groups instead of letting you set a single lamp as your primary.
Just bought the bulb and followed the instructions to the letter. Even disconnected all other paired devices. It simply won't connect to the bulb. Waste of time! :( Now have to drive back to exchange for some other brand.
After several months and a new phone later, wasted a couple hours trying to pair to me phone. Did a hard reset several times. Now it's just an over priced led bulb. Mitt be cheap, but you get what you pay for. Don't waste your money.
The app can't find my bulb on the Alcatel One Touch Fierce XL piece of crap phone. No bulbs found standing right next to it... Update: Got a new phone that works great with everything else, re-installed the app multiple times, repeated the procedure multiple times, still just searches for mesh. Also, this is the first app to crash my new phone.
This could be a great product but the app does not work and Feit for some reason does not care. If you have the desire to see what a smart bulb could be, buy one and try it out, but don't get these bulbs with the expectation that you will be able to use them for smart home lighting any time soon. Every feature of the app is broken or buggy.
It worked great the first time I installed it and synced it with the app. But when I try to use the features is stays on the ' looking for/connecting to mesh page and doesn't do anything for 10 minutes. I tried to Uninstaller and reinstall the app and it doesn't work. Not too happy with the app. It's to update and work with the light bulb like it says on the easy instructions. If it gets better reviews then I might try it again. Until then it will replace the light bulb that just went out.
It works fine. The following two issues should be resolved ASAP: 1-Has a glitch when registering account. Turns out that if password is not long enough the server won't allow you to create your account (but the error message says that you are already registered). 2-When you schedule your lights you cannot set the brightness level. So you can just turn on at 100% brightness or turn off your lights. Keep the good work and you will have a great app for a great product line!
First time installing couldn't find mesh. Turned off bulb, deleted and reinstalled the app, turned light switch on and waited for pulse, entered pin and BAM. Bulb found and configured in a few simple steps. I set a schedule, will report back if it doesn't work. Love the fact that I can do all this WITHOUT a hub for $14 USA per bulb.
Extremely disappointed my husband and I purchased these bulbs but he can connect when I followed instructions it just keeps looking and says connecting to mesh nothing is working. This app definitely needs so adjusting because we tried everything , we both have same phone only his works and mine doesn't he blames my phone but I think the product is a good idea just wish it worked better. Will not be installing in whole house until something is changed that makes this product more efficient. Someone if you can help please do
After logging in on multiple devices, I had to uninstall and reinstall the app before they would connect properly. Obviously with this being Bluetooth, only one device can connect at one time. The thing that really bugs me is that you have to save a configuration on one device after setting a schedule, and then go to the other device and load the configuration. It'd be nice if the configuration just loaded with that app launches. Additionally, thank you publishing nonexistent release notes. Very unhelpful.
Initially I was very excited with my purchase of this bulb from Home Depot. Got home; un-boxed it, screwed it in, downloaded the app, and launched it. Set up was a breeze. Played around with it; worked GREAT! My wife unplugged our table lamp to plug-in our vacuum and afterwards the bulb wouldn't connect anymore. Looking for mesh... Connecting to mesh... Would be great if the app worked! Glad I only purchased one!
When I purchase this bulbs from homebrite I thought I was acquiring the best in technology but I was wrong. When you open the app and try to turn on the lights it takes a long time for the app to sincronize with the light bulbs and most times you have to end up restating the app and staring all over witch is very frustrating. Definitely don't recommend it to anyone.
I actually love the design of this product. Simple, clean, and fast. No messy WiFi bridging, no hub. Kudos to you guys. Love the big power button and brightness control - very responsive. Newest update fixes some connection glitches and lag - much faster finding the mesh now. Scheduler is sensational. I use this bulb with a fade in to help wake me up every morning. Minus one star because a widget would be super helpful (simple on/off), and adding a brightness setting to schedules. Add these and you get a 5!
The brightness control needs to be separated better from the on/off switch: it is too easy to turn off accidentally when trying to dim. There is no way to escape from the icon selection dialog except to kill the app. The app disconnects from the mesh when in the background, which is a nuisance because it takes a long time to connect. Other than that, it works ok for me with a single bulb at a distance of about ten feet.
Works fine the first time you use it. But once you leave the app or turn off your screen it disconnects then takes forever to reconnect. Once youbsrt a schedule. You still need to leave Bluetooth on otherwise nothing happens. Terrible. My Philips Hue bulbs are a MILLION times better.
Whoever gave à 4 or 5 star here either ows share in homebright or is the designer of the non meshing, non working bluetooth code. Crashes all thé time.. i like the comment of someone who said he's in the dark five minutes before the light comes on. Very useless at best. I'm returning the bulb. You guys should be ashamed of sell such crap.
Schedule doesn't work it never comes on. The dimmer should be a slider not a circle because often times if it moves of the circle track when dimming it will either go full on or full off. The timer seems to work ok though. I also wish it didn't take so long to connect to the bulbs when opening the app. My wife is impatient and usually has enough time to walk across the room and hit the switch before I even get connected.
Not only would it not connect as it says! The bulb itself got hotter then a normal light. LEDs are made to use less power and run cooler. Not the case here. Horrible product, horrible app.
When I go into a room, I want to turn on a light... not stand there for up to 5 minutes while it "connects to mesh" & finally giving up and grabbing a flashlight. I haven't moved more than 10' since the last time it was connected, why on earth is it not still connected?!
To say this app works 10% of the time would be generous. Mostly, it spins its wheels or continuously crashes. When it actually loads and manages locate the device, it's a miracle. In the end, because of this app, I had treat this like any other light bulb.
A scam. Home Depot is perpetuating a scam. After 3 days of OK use it now takes 5-10 minutes - at best - to connect to mesh, which is totally unacceptable. The app is poorly designed - the wheels are too large proportionate to the screen, and when trying to dim it's too easy to turn the light off altogether. I contacted Feit and was told improvements are on the way. I hope so. The current quality is not ready for the market.
Wish I read these reviews otherwise I would have never bought this in the first place. Set it up and it worked great. Turned off Bluetooth and when I turned it back on the bulb wouldn't worked. Tried resetting everything and still doesn't work. Useless product. Returning it tomorrow.
Connected once. When switch was accidently turned off will not connect again. Gave it one star simply because the LED works.
Most of the time, and it is not an exaggeration when I say most, the app wouldn't connect to the light. The only reason I finally got it to work was because I kept at it longer than reasonable. Even after I got it to work, turning it off would reset the entire process. Stay away from this one. Return the bulb if you can.
Program starts where it choses rather than where I choose. Currently that's in a group page. Turning on the bathroom light is a process rather than a decision. A lockscreen option would be helpful. Password recover doesn't work. Won't allow any new account creation. Locked out of old account. Fix this please.
This worked great for the last few months. Now the app wont connect to the bulb. Have toggle bluetooth and restart my phone just to get it to connect. And even then its a crap shoot. Don't know what happened.
Great product! The app could use some tweeking to be faster & a bit more responsive. The bulbs work great. Be warned, like me you can easily corrupt the bulbs by attempting to reset them but thanks to the great customer service my bulbs were replaced for free. If you want to try out smart bulbs it's a great & inexpensive way to see what they're all about.

App has no provisions for registering for account, despite manual showing process. Emails to customer service are not answered. No provision for quitting app other than through system settings. VERY hard to reset bulbs/switch controlling device if controlling phone dies- must reset bulbs and start fresh. Will be looking for other options for rest of lights in house.
