UK Train Times: Train Scout for Android
Tried the journey planner, doesn't find journey although National Rail does.
The quickest way to find trains, times & platforms.
Tried to get train times but it only gave bus times, despite my removing buses from the search filter. I don't like the layout either, where you search by choosing a station on a map and it's less easy just to search by typing in your route or journey plan.
Good value, quite useful & generally a decent app. I've been using this for about 4 years, now (I had also used 'Bus Scout' for a year previously), and have always been happy with it. I don't use any widgets, but the main app has helped me find bus & tram routes in several unfamiliar UK places, and the 'Live Departures' feature is useful in my home city too. The option to show / track your position and display it 'on top' of a map along with your planned route is great (and was a feature of this app long before Google apps had it!). I am already very familiar with the railway in The UK, but still find the journey planner quite useful for onward connections, such as finding details of public transport between my destination and its nearest railway station. Being able to include different modes of transport allows you to create a virtually complete 'A to B' journey plan using a single departure or arrival time, and the 'first or last available' option is especially handy. It's not perfect, and you should bear in mind that this app relies on several 3rd parties for data (e.g if the local bus company doesn't provide real-time data, neither will this app), but Train Scout / Bus Scout takes available data from several sources and combines them in an easy to use, convenient way- it's much better than many of the operator's own apps, of which I've tried several. Overall, I'm still more than happy to pay the 'premium' subscription for a 5th year.
Instant access to train times, delays and platform information plus you can track a trains progress in list form or via map. Spot On!
Paid twice for same app what a Swiss cheat and con I have reported to the law for scaming customers
This is supposed to be a train app but when I try to use the widget it says I need a subscription to use the BUS widget?
next train
Very good but it needs Bermuda Park and Coventry Arena stations to be added to it
1.76m smallest app in what it does.. thanks dev!
What about district line trains ???
Widget didn't not provide accurate data. Requested money back, no response. Do not buy
I've tried others, but always come back to this one for train times. The simple interface makes it easy to use. For me, this one's perfect!
The widget says that I need a subscription to use it for bus departures. What it really means is that I need a subscription to use the widget at all. Why the misleading message?

I've had bad experiences with other train apps , so far so good with this one .
Love the app and has saved me a boring wait on a platform a number of times. Wish the widget could be configured for no background.
Worst app I've ever used
Must have app
Worst app I've ever used
Select London Victoria Station on map and it shows a walk time of 9 minutes to reach the platform! Not helpful. Does not show platform numbers on itinerary detail. Notes related to the journey shown truncated. E.g. "From Saturday 8 to Sunday 30 August there" (sic) Shows trains that have been cancelled. Useless.
What about district line trains ???
With kind support from the app designer, that app is now running without adverts and is a great app to add to tablet or phone. Easy to use and quick. Worth the purchase and excellent support
I needed an alternative to National Rail Enquiries as their widget no longer works but the only widget for this app is for buses and you have to pay for it. Delete!
Worst app I've ever used
Gives you all the info you need. Had a couple of occasions where the app displayed the wrong info. Contacted the devs who were very friendly and the issues were resolved quickly.
Good to see the platforms reported, as even National Rail deprives is of this most useful info. Reported bugs fixed. Thank you!
Not too bad, but refuses to show train times to or from Leighton Buzzard. This is a problem when one lives in Leighton Buzzard and needs to get the train.
Warning. This app gives wrong train information. Tfl staff also advised me that this is considered by them to be terrible.
Is there anyway to have multiple widgets with different stations? That would get it to 4 for me
Good to see the platforms reported, as even National Rail deprives is of this most useful info. Slight bug with widget fixed. Thank you! Now if you could just have the results persist a while longer as they're often blank again by the time I arrive at my departure station.
Want to try out the widget and see if I like it for train times, but can't do this until I've bought an upgrade.

Is there anyway that once you've confirmed a start and finish location and you've selected the time you need that it could show the stops en route and if possible, arrival and maybe departure times for each stop? When I click on the time I want, it tells me which train to get on and hiw long before I need to alight but all I can do is get the route up on a map which just shows a red line between your start and finish point, there isn't seemingly any way to list all stops? Great app otherwise
Sony z1 // It's the best app for travelling that I haven't seen since a long time. Easy to use and complete thanks
Whenever I search for any route app asking to check my wireless settings I dont understand why??? It was working fine suddenly asking to check data connection. I tried on WiFi also still not working. I'll rate 5 stars if this problem will get solved
Dev made a few bug fixes and enhanced a few things, now a superb app. Will use from now on.
Train info wrong.
Good

Broken. Poor UI. Sunday July 30 ca. 9 am. Selected Clapham junction to Epsom. Shows deps 00.:58 and 05:29. Turns out these are for Monday 31. But there are plenty of trains today. When to or from stations are charged display still shows old results. Time selector badly designed: - No easy way to change time to now.
