This is the simplest remote app that I have used. It is also the only app that works out of box with my university wifi. The UI is very clean and effective.

The best thing is that you can easily add and customise other apps and mess with the functions of the buttons.

Unlike wifi based remote apps this one doesn't require wifi or bluetooth connection​. I would highly recommend the dev to update for the latest MS powerpoint app & also Vox music player.

I am not able to tether wifi without internet please help

Really easy to set up, great remote! I love the simplicity and interface. However, the dev should add immersion mode and have credentials remembered, and maybe some more Spotify functionality.

Works fine, but I think it should be explicit on the tutorial that to do this **Click Remote Login and click lock if You have one** is a required step. I was getting the IP address in another way and just couldn't connect until I clicked in this option. I was not clear in the tutorial that this is step was necessary. It seemed that it was just a way to get the IP>

You need to enable "network sharing" in settings on your Mac, which isn't on by default. Explains many bad reviews on this app, which maybe needs explaining more obviously instead of a basic error message considering how many bad reviews have been left for that issue. Once you get over that, and learn the basic script commands, there's no limit! Thanks

For those who get connection errors: you actually have to keep the "Remote Login" box in system preferences checked. The help page omits this fact even though there is a photo of the preferences pane on the help page.

Add autoconnect option dude, its so simple to code and so annoying to do manually, each time I open it. I will give 5 stars back. The description is correct. It does what other apps do but with minimal design so you dont have to click 7 times to do something. It lacks some extended functionality for some apps (which is actually good thing - UI is clean and simple) Therefor I keep around VLC remote (spotify...) aps for that and those tasks are needed only rarely.

Only one thing missing that is the ability to change the general volume of the Mac same way you can adjust brightness if you add that I'll give you 5 stars

Had a bit of a problem with logging in. Double checked username and ip but it doesn't seem to work. A little help would suffice.

I love that I didn't have to down load another server app on my computer. Those always make me nervous.

If you buy the new imac that does not come with a remote control this app is just perfect for the job

I'd love to see an on-going notification for access to play/pause from the lock screen though. Other than that, this app allows the ultimate in flexibility for remotely controlling any app from your couch. Well done.

Coll app to control you mac when you're from anywhere in your home. Works flawlessly for me never had an issues. Very easy, nice clean app. 5*! If we could have the ability to control more mac apps and customise the app list on the left in the app it would be brilliant! Keep up the good work.

Love the idea and useability when on WiFi, but what about when I'm offline? EG I want this for a pocket-remote when I'm dance teaching, in a studio with no WiFi. At home it works beautifully. Build a Bluetooth version or let users know in the product description before they download?

Works very well with the apps on my Mac . for those that are having problems, make sure your Mac has remote login selected cos I had that problem initially lol

Set up in less than 1 minute! No lag like other apps, free and works flawlessly. Love this app for controlling spotify app on mac.

It doesn't login with the correct credentials . I checked everything again & again. It still doesn't.

Works great on Samsung S4 mini and mac book pro with Yosemite OS. Control over VLC when watching a movie from the couch, super!

Functional, simple, good looking app. It would fit my needs perfectly if there were a subtitle and audio track control for MPlayerX.

I have inserted the right username, password and IP Address. They are all right yet it does not work. I have even visited the support website which is located on the login of the app, yet that was no help at all. All I wanted was a remote for my mac so I wouldn't have to get out of bed to turn Spotify on, gutted.

If you follow the easy instructions then you will find that you have one of the most useful and highly functional free android apps out there! Well done to the dev :)

This is good. It is working on my os x yosemite well.

I used this app on ny new macbook running OSX 10.10. Last night I shut down my computer and the mac shut down. When I woke I noticed the machine on and the fan was running hard, I never heard the fan before today. I also noticed the screen's backlight was on but the screen was not. no jeys were working amd the machine was not on a second monitor. I then started a hard shut down. The machine was running hot so I let it cool. I rebooted the machine but I get the same thing. not working

Works flawlessly, everything as advertised. Better than buying Bluetooth remotes or any other solutions. Fast and smooth. No delays really from pressing button to Mac executing operation
