About Cards In Watch
Have you ever forgotten your customer card or you don't like having your purse full of different customer/loyalty plastic cards? Just store them in the app and you can use them whenever you have your phone with you.
But scanning the code from the glossy phone screen does not always work. Using a smartwatch to display the code works much better. Once you put in the card data in the phone app, you can browse the cards directly on the smartwatch.
(Bar)codes supported: CODE39, CODE128 (including GS1-128), DATAMATRIX, EAN8, EAN13, ITF, PDF417, QRCODE, UPC-A.
Code can be edited manually or scanned via internal barcode scanner directly from the card.
Sometimes the text/numbers printed below the code may not be the same as the app would read, but the generated code should be equal to the original (e.g. this may happen for GS1-128 codes).
When open on the smartwatch, first you see a list of all cards/codes that are defined in the app. You can browse the list and tapping on the item will show the code itself. There you can swipe left and right to browse the codes again. Or press the back button to get to the list.
The watch turns off after 15 seconds automatically, but you can request to keep the display on/off in the watch menu (3-dot button).
Currently only Sony SmartWatch 2 is supported. But the app will work even without a smartwatch, you just loose the smartwatch-related functionality.
