About SIP Switch Widget

Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and newer versions support a built in SIP/VoIP (Voice over IP) functionality. This widget has two buttons: the left one gives you a shortcut to the SIP settings. The second one allows you to select how calls should be routed primarily: you can select whether all calls should be made via SIP by default, only Internet calls via SIP, or if you want to be asked before each call.

For Cyanogenmod-Devices, there's a quick settings tile available.

For Android 5 (Lollipop) devices and newer:
Google changed the SIP API, so the functionality has changed. The left button now redirects to call settings, it's one click from there to SIP settings. A direct link to SIP settings is currently not possible due to restrictions of Android 5, sorry. The right button (and also the quick settings tile) now switches whether all calls are made through SIP, or only ones going to a SIP address. Please set "Ask first" for "Make calls with" in "phone account settings", then this button will toggle between asking and making calls through cell phone network by default.

Please note that by default the built in SIP functionality on Android only works via Wifi on most devices! Furthermore, some ROMs of network providers (branded phones) disable the SIP functionality. If you can't find SIP settings in your phone's settings, this widget probably won't work correctly.

Excellent Job! It would be complete with a switch to enable receive SIP Calls or not.

The moment I realised native SIP was not available on my freshly bought Note 4, while one reason for buying it was actually that I wanted a Samsung device which were known to come with Android native SIP... I almost threw the device off the window. But then I found this fantastic widget. Thank you, and hats off to the developer, it works like a charm!

Q70%
by Q####:

The widget was able to bring up the configuration page. However I was not able to make calls through VOIP....Dear developer, is there a workaround? 1star only to bring your attention, sorry for that.

I was looking SIP native settings in my Note 4 and couldn't found anywhere and amazingly I installed this widget and boom it gives me the access to the native SIP client and configuration and it work like a charm thank you.

My LG G3 does not have a menu for "Internet Call" SIP configuration (some companies do that), but this Widget does and its perfect for changing from my sip account to the cellular.

R70%
by R####:

Not only does this enable and disable SIP on my Motorola Pro+, but it also provides a shortcut to the SIP settings, which are normally not accessible on my phone. Excellent Work!

Thanks. Simple and useful.

I email the developer because I couldn't' see the widget after installing it. He suggested rebooting the phone and it worked!

U70%
by U####:

This was incredible wIth 5 stars, but without the first button lighting up green, it is not easy to know if sip is on or not. Please, please change back or allow some indication that sip is on. Please.

I'll be releasing a similar app soon on xda compatible with tasker

D70%
by D####:

Much easier than hunting through the menus to turn on and off internet calling. It would be even better if this was a Tasker plugin. Then I could automate it when I'm connected to Wi-Fi.

A70%

Only app/widget of it's kind. Would love to see this as a Tasker plugin...

D70%
by D####:

Doesn't work on my DHD. Gives error and the widget stays blank black buttons.

D70%
by D####:

Wish there was an option to choose how many and which button to put om screen cause I only needed the left button and it would be nice to have it only occupy a 1x1 site

D70%
by D####:

This is great widget although I need for a bit different purpose. I needed a quick shotcut to the sip settings so I can enable og disable recieving calls. You would get 5 stars if you added a enable receive toggle :-)

D70%
by D####:

Doesn't seem to work with ICS. Might have something to do with the new integrated dialer.

D70%
by D####:

Well done whoever you are. This is exactly what I have been looking for. I go away a lot to Europe and find this widget really useful.

Y70%

Me want tasker plugin too!

O70%

I can make calls not receive them

N70%
by N####:

Just the way I like my apps. Simple and works. I am using this with my Nexus 5 running Kit Kat. One icon shortcuts me to the screen for enabling/disabling incoming calls. The other icon shortcuts for whether I want outgoing phone calls to use VOIP or not. Awesome. Well done! If I could improve anything I'd want the 'receive calls' button to not be just a shortcut, but actually toggle the setting. Not sure if this is possible with Google's APIs.

M70%

Not only does this enable and disable SIP on my Motorola Pro+, but it also provides a shortcut to the SIP settings, which are normally not accessible on my phone. Excellent Work!

N70%
by N####:

i just wish there was an icon for directly enabling/disabling incoming calls (left button opens settings for that but i'd rather do it in one click)

U70%
by U####:

After looking for a widget that would work with my gagaphone account I came across this piece jewel. My calls are loud and clear.

If you need this functionality this is the application you seek. It works great with my Google Nexus running SlimRoms. Thank you Robert for the effort you put into app.
