About FitScales (Wii Balance Board)

Weigh yourself quickly and easily with a Wii Fit Balance Board and Bluetooth enabled Android device. Weighing yourself is as simple as starting FitScales, syncing the balance board then standing still on the board when FitScales is ready. You can optionally sync your weight with RunKeeper and/or FitBit for easy tracking. FitScales makes for a convenient free (open source) alternative to costly high-tech bathroom scales. Suitable for both phones and tablets.

What's Changed
- Fix JellyBean 4.1 compatibility
- Prevent installation on JellyBean MR1 4.2 due to Google replacing the Android Bluetooth stack. The new stack does not expose the functionality required by FitScales rendering it incompatible for now.
- New app listing. I accidentally lost my signing key which forced this...

Hi Paul, I have been using the app for a year and all of a sudden last week it stopped working... There is no dot and no weight shown. I am using a HTC One s. Thank you

I worked with this program for 3 hours with 4 devices and could not get it to work. The program would get stuck at calibrating or not even connect. I wish this app was updated to work.

D70%
by D####:

Simple to set up, easy to use. Shows you your weight and BMI calculation based on the height you entered. Now I could just find an app that uses the Wii Balance Board for some exercises, I wouldn't have to turn the Wii on at all!

I was excited to hear about this app, because I use Wii fit to weigh myself anyway, and thought this would be a time saver so as not to have to fire up my Wii every time. It's not much better on time because you have to open the back and sync it every time. I'd love it if it was more intuitive and had more features.

Stoped working for me on 16/01/2016. Found an alternative tho

Nice work, set it up so I don't always have to sync, please!

I was going to buy some scales but tried this app on my old rooted sensation and the Wii board I still have, the app synced with the board quickly with no problems at all. Thanks for making this app.

After that it endlessly "stabilizes"

Was happy to put my Wii Fit Balance Board to good use. But since Nov 3rd the Fitbit sync stopped working. I tried re-authenticating with my Fitbit account (which works) but weight sync fails. I think Fitbit changed their API. Would appreciate an app update to fix.

Used happily without issue for months. This week it stopped working - no app update, no phone-system update... I'm not sure why it stopped syncing or registering weight, but I miss it. Would love a fix - or advice on what I might have done!

I'm on 4.2 and everything works for me. Although sometimes it doesnt tell me my weight, no matter how long I stand there.

I've used it perfectly on my Asus tablet with Android 4.0.3. But when I wanted to install it on my phone with Android 4.4.2,it was not available... It turned to be annoying because I only use the tablet for weighting myself, and have migrated to the phone for everything else, so I have to have the tablet charged just to weight myself in the mornings...

It does not work with my HTC one tried multiple times .. Dont think you can get a better spec phone than HTC one in Market. Its the newest model.....

Works as described. It'd be nice to see instantaneous weight measurements though.

I cant get this app to work on a stock galaxy note 2. Sometimes it endlessly calibrates other times it will calibrate immediately but it has never once displayed my weight. Hopefully an update could rectify this issue and I'll bring up the rating.

Thank you for coming up with this app. It works great and it inspired me to start losing weight. After two months I'm 25 pounds down and 55 to go.

Z70%
by Z####:

Good app, it means I can actually make use of that WiiFit board I bought. However as you have to press the red sync button every time on start up it does not deliver the continent experience I was hoping for. Also the on screen messages do not wrap the text on the S3 atleast, meaning some of the message is obscured while in portrait mode. Also it would be useful to have a message while you are standing on the board to say that its measuring. First time I was wondering why it wasn't working, turns out I had just not stood on the board for long enough. Looking forward to updates that will improve this app. After updating to 4.2.2 there is no longer support which is a big shame.

Z70%

Wii board not doing much, this is promising. Not having to always sync, and a link to the garmin connect site would be awesome.

Z70%

Does not sync with FitBit. No longer supported.

Awesome app to connect with my Wii board good job......

Z70%

Would be great if it had the option to sync with Google Fit. (New from Google, I know.)

Tried on HTC one V. 4.0.3 stays connecting.

Do I have to sync the board with the red button every time I weigh myself?

W70%

Thanks for a great start to an app. As per other reviews, auto sync would be something nice to aim for. Just need to see how I sync Endomondo to it.

I'm really impressed with how we'll this app works. I'm also happy that I finally have a use for my expensive peripheral that was collecting dust. I would really love multi-user support and a history/graphs of weight and BMI. Additionally, I can't wait to see this working on 4.2 so it can run on all my devices!

Z70%

Not working with Pantech Element on 4.0, syncs and calibrates fine but displays NaN BMI and NaN kg. Looking forward to paying for a properly working product.

N70%
by N####:

Definitely happy I don't have to go spend $100+ on a fancy scale. A bit bummed I have to turn the board ovet and sync every time, but it keeps it synced with my Wii which is nice. I do wish it auto uploaded to MyFitnessPal...

Y70%
by Y####:

why do you have to modify the Bluetooth thingy and render this app useless? Now I have to use this app on my old android 2.2 phone..

J70%
by J####:

When I don't want to go through the whole body test i just weigh myself with this. I also like that i can see my bmi

Y70%
by Y####:

It works well, but some simple history and user names etc could make this so much better. You have done the hard work, now just improve the interface and functions. I would pay for extra features.
