Thenticate - Pro Authenticator for Android
Great app! but it become a hassle to use if you have a lot of codes. Maybe being able to categorise them? Or having a smaller grid instead of a list
This is probably the best-looking OTP generator I've seen. At first, I thought there wasn't a timer (a basic feature to know if your code is about to expire), but then I realized that the color fades the closer the code is to resetting. At the moment, this a four-star app. I would love to see the ability to add our own custom icons because right now, there are only about 30 built-in ones. That means a majority of my OTP codes have the generic star. That makes it a bit hard to differentiate between the codes. To remedy this, instead of inputting my login the OTP is associated with, I input the website. Not ideal. Furthermore, I'd like to see the addition of custom groups or labels, and a search function. If any/all of these are implemented, I'll update this review to five stars.
Great app. Beautiful design and great backup solution. But it's crashing when trying to manually set up a new token do you have to manually create a QR code with all the information
A whole lot of room for improvement here. The good: this is the most beautiful 2FA app I've ever seen. And it performs quite well. The bad: the limited list of icons for services makes it difficult to tell what stuff some stuff is. Perhaps being able to select a custom vector or image would help. The list is extremely inefficient when you have a lot of accounts. Items being more compact would be much appreciated. The ugly: accounts in the list view only show the email it's under, omitting the service it's for.
I like the design, but the customisation options are unfortunately limited. "Custom icons" (as advertised on the website) does not mean custom logos but "select from a few pre-defined logos". If at least the company name could be shown instead of the generic star icon distinguishing between services would be easier.
Not working on Oreo. Lost all my codes.... My bad to trust this as a backup... Last update over a year ago.....
Apps settings menu said there'd be a restore method when reinstalling it. There wasn't. I have backup codes, but only for some of my accounts. Thanks. Nice design though.
Amazing app, perfect how it syncs encrypted over Google Cloud, what would make this app the best is if it takes up less vertical space and gets support for more icons, branded and generic. If these two features are added this app will be perfect ????
Changed phone, after Google backup restore app was stuck on "decrypting tokens". Mistapped on clear all data and logout and lost everything.
Really great app. Some suggestions: 1. Search 2. Tags or Categories 3. Timer for expiration 4. Show both company and user info on listing.
Love the app, but it needs a few little bits: importing QR from an image, option for a smaller list item on the main screen, and alongside the Android Wear app, a Samsung Gear app would be nice too.
Dreadful app. Most of the time doesnt open and then deletes everything.
Liking the app so far. Nice UI and works flawlessly. Please add Okta icon or a way to use custom icons or names for items on the main screen.
Last updated January? Feels like it has been abandoned...
I want to use another mail provider not only Gmail. Why i have to use gmail only ?
Save authenticator to the cloud? No.
It's modern, colorful and also beautifully organized
No updates since Jan 2017?
Missing the ability to group different accounts from the same provider . Apart from that, awesome app!
Beautiful design, crypto sync feature is awesome.
Amazeballs!
Great!
Good
Dead project? Last update more than 6 months ago...
It needs to be able to use custom icons (ie Font Awesome)
In need of some more icons for distinguishability. The accounts aren't labelled at the top level, this just creates an added step of having to long press the account to find out which it is. Either more logos for other services (Google is literally the only one in my list of 8 accounts that has an icon) or add some generic icons for things like email. Even better, add the account names to the main page above the email address. The email address alone is not sufficient
Why does everything have to take up as much vertical space as possible. The icons for seemingly unknown services are just stars, making the experience abysmal (yea, colors, sure). Good effort though, but why not learn from FreeOTP, it's oss
Why would I have to sign into my Google Account to use this? I want to add accounts that aren't Google, not my Google Accounts, but it seems I have to link my Google account before I could do anything else.
Awesome. But there is delay between devices in the code generation. Proper sync would be great.
Very nice looking app. I especially like the large numbers on Android Wear. While I do like the color fading to gray as the code gets closer to expiring, it's not very practical for deciding if you have time to enter the code. I'd love to see some way for the app to indicate that you have less than 5 seconds or so before the code expires. Maybe start blinking the logo?
I'm struggling to know how to use technology and this app? Where it can be use and how to link account(s)? Where to find QR code? Any tutorial? Any help will be deeply appreciated. Thank you!
Quite responsive team :-) see below if you are worried about the link to the Google account.
Great Design and everything works really well. Great implementation of material design! You should add a Snapchat icon in a future update as they support 2FA.
Great design and approach!

I like how it looks, modern and fresh. But, there is a problem with usability. For example I have around 20 services and the page scroll is just enormous. It would be nice to have ability to change layout to have two tokens in a single row. Also, fingerprint security or pin are needed in app like this, please implement.
