I initially gave this app 5 stars because it was useful in a number of settings. Now it's a not very good attempt to form some sort of social media app with license plate decoding as an afterthought, when previously it was the app's central function. Not recommended - uninstalled.

The useful tool was changed into yet another social media service with tons of useless features. Installed it after many years of use.

Well I was going to rate it lower because it didn't have US plates but I decided to read the description before I issued a review and it says that it doesn't have US plates so, be warned yanks.

A lot of these codes are wrong and since being computerised new style UK plates are random anyway.

Their should be Lahore also I want a word with the creator who built this useless app make an option of Lahore also then I'll give you 5 stars

Does not include all European countries, does not include the US, exactly as described. A useful and fun app. Easy to use. Does what it says it does.

Exactly as described - ie, an app for EUROPEAN format number plates. Ignore all the 1-star reviews from arrogant yanks.

Doesnt include all EU countries , if I remember correctly this app use to be perfect now its just crap. Those 1 stars have every right to rate it 1 star. @Karen P you must be blind to rate this app higher than a 1 or 2 star. Your put in the letter of the plate and it gives you the last of ALL the cities with that letter. I put in R and it listed every plate that has an R. And the R alone was all the way down in alphabetical order!

please put more countries. I tried to search for another app than this that gives us information about the driver of a car. but I'm not finding any Lebanese directory. in your next update please add the Lebanese car plate directory.

It only does the new style YA68RAN which would be a Sep 2008 - Feb 2009 Leeds plate. YA08RAN would be Mar to Aug 2008. Shame it does not do the older formats eg AUM400 or 400AUM which would be pre-1962, or C400AUM or AUM400C which was actually a two-tone grey 1965 Vauxhall Victor Estate (shooting brake in US parlance) which my mother drove until 1970. All the examples above would be fictional or real Leeds plates. A version which could do ANPR using the camera as an input would make a good paid-for app.
