NetGuard - no-root firewall

Hi, I got a Nexus 6p, using stock Android 8 but using GoLauncherZ, and the widget doesn't seem to show correct status until I move to different screen then back. Then it shows correctly. Only a small thing, as its set to vibrate when on/off, so know when it's working and turned off. Worked well with Nougat, so hope it'll get back to the high standards that were previously experienced. One app that should be tried and purchased Thanx, Chip. Ps and if a video walkthrough was available, then even better, hope it happens.

I consider this the de facto Android VPN-based application firewall. I don't understand a 1-star review unless someone simply doesn't understand the app. All of the functions are what I would expect. If you're looking for minimal pro features to purchase the most useful is Filter Network Traffic. Notifications of new apps and the view blocked traffic log are 2nd. The other 2 pro features are might-as-well. I mainly use this to set my VPN DNS servers, it also gives easier access to Android's own background data controls, and I use it to block individual 3rd party domain from apps- excluding my browsers (I block unwanted browser traffic separately to reduce NetGuard's number crunching.) I've thought of making a video tutorial of some simple best practices. Maybe someday.

Great app! Please add the option to create custom profiles, so we can apply predefined changes at once, like when roaming abroad and back home. Thanks!

This firewall is pretty decent

No need to rate 1*, app does what developer said it would do, it is properly maintained with working updates (I do not root my phone anymore because of this beautiful app), works with custom roms (Xiaomi in my particular case). 1* reviewers, please learn to read the description of the app you are downloading and do not expect to do something you dreamed ... This is in fact best FireWall available on PlayStore to date. Thank you for developing this app, and constant stream of updates (your free [working on NetGuard] time is appreciated).

Excellent. But needs "block all mobile or wifi" option/menu. This option is needed not in default settings, this option is required as menu item accessible easily so that we block all current apps in order to allow one other app by blocking current ones. Will provide 5 after this. Thanks. I searched, lockdown is not. I want a quick clear menu item to clear all allowed apps. Also I want allowed apps to automatically move up when it is allowed - sorted. Please do this. Thanks. Thanks for keeping updates. Given 5 stars for keen interest in updating.

Great app, but Please add global filter of domain/iprange as how no-root firewall gives. Thanks for your update. But in case if I need to block some domain or 1.2.*.* then is this possible.?

I can finally stop YouTube over mobile always. Perfect for kids who forget that Wi-Fi was turned off.

This app is impressive. I can't believe how complete this is. Now there won't be any hidden IP wasting my internet data without my consent! Muahahahaha! I will keep messing with it later. First time buying something here (play store) and I couldn't be more satisfied. Thank you sir.

Great app! This is exactly what I've been looking for, especially considering my U.S Verizon Galaxy s7 is practically impossible to root without a complete factory reset. Your hard work in the development of this is much appreciated.

Excelent! With this app I could block some apps like whatsapp temporally and keep the internet working. I've questions just about the VPN method, I wait that this don't impair the usability...

Useless, no log avalable in free ver. Also not able to filter/ban/allow percise IPs or subnets. This is no real firewall app, its joke. O* if possible. To all who like to have some firewall look rather at "NoRoot firewall"

Didn't work for my essential Not sure it works at all as chrome and news was the same. Compression was disabled thanks, I never used that. Phone is rooted now so it's a moot point

GREAT APP , But for 5 stars a user guide would be awesome. I have been hacked by voicemail and Bluetooth so if there's anything you could do for that , I'd go pro ,5 stars and campaign for your app.

Hello Marcel, I wanted to buy this app of yours but I bought PIA Private Internet Access VPN last year and it would appear that I cannot run the 2 together as it's either PIA or Netguard on my Samsung Galaxy S5 Lollipop 6.0.1. ~ I NEED PIA and want Netguard too so do you have any guidance please ? Very useful app but a new problem has been found since last update. App doesn't start auto and give me a warning for that. This is the same in both of my phones using Android 5.1 Seems to be ok since last update...

The only good no root firewall and data counter with support i could find. Took some time to figure out the settings, but full control eventually. However not sure which paid feature to buy to get the Mb data usage / day indicator (per app). Would also request a total usage indicator in app/widget or notification.

Excellent, really like the lateral thinking that allows non-rooted users some control over apps placed on the system partition. This also managed to find several apps that do not appear on the devices app list, or other app lists of system analysers. Great work.

Love this app but please help me because when netguard runs it's icon shows top on screen & anybody can off this so please upgrade it & make it hidden.

Excellent and really useful app. Recommended! Only missed two functionalities: 1. block access when out of business hours. I would like to block skype for business and company email app between 18:00 and 8:00 and all weekends 2. Control wich notifications appear

After reading all the comment and FAQ of M66B, i purposely come here to support for this amazing work aside from xprivacy, i wish i could contribute in the project, anythung i could help? im looking for the pro functions, but i'm fine with the free fully functional version due to the generosity of the developer. Phone gets heated up and slows down even though it's a Note 4 which can handle heavy loads. Otherwise very useful app.

Possibly the best no-root firewall available, with tons of useful features, and the majority are even available for free! I paid for all pro features, and did so gladly!

This was my favourite firewall but nowadays my phone grinds to a halt for 1-2 minutes when switching from wifi to mobile data. So I'm no longer using it. Also, too many features are locked and need to be purchased individually which makes it expensive if you were to buy the full app.
