[root] FlashFire for Android
This was the only way for me to installing a custom ROM, since my device has a locked bootloader. I do wish that a) wipe would not be put at the bottom every time, and b) FlashFire would reinstall itself after a wipe. Otherwise, awesome work, and thanks!
I was hesitant at first, but after reading about how to install a factory update, I decided to try it. Worked like a dream. Downloaded the factory image, followed instructions, unchecked recovery and hit the button. Saw how it was working and then it booted, then it stop booting for a few seconds, then started booting again and it took like 6 minutes, then booted up. Worked great. Still rooted and have twrp. Great work guys
Awesome with my not so well known devices. Just does not work with the 16 cm su, which comes preloaded with Lineage 7.1.1 Edit: Sorry. HeHeHe. SELinux has to be permissive in CM SU.
Did this app work on asus device? (mine ze551ml) i wanna know before i broke my phone ... Haha
For years and through many different cellphones I've been rooting and changing OSes and this is by far the best apk to get the job done. Every hacker and hacker-wanna-be needs try this tool.
I have tried several apps to make a Nandroid backup on a Chinese smartphone (Lenovo) running with Android 5.1.This apps was the sole to succeed. Bravo ! Donation, of course ! Please continue. One more info: to backup, I need to run the process 2 times - the first time, I only have a reboot, the second time this app makes the backup alright. Great!
works amazingly well used on s5 Verizon extensively and on my lg nexus 4 thanks for your contributions to the android development world :)
Chainfire is always AWESOME Nothing can beat them We need more useful apps like this Flashfire Very useful when you are not having custom recovery Needs more user friendly UI like Flashify Only SuperSU is compatible
Awesome app! Allowed me to flash 7.1.1 OTA update on my rooted OnePlus 3t which also has TWRP recovery. Worked perfectly and soooooo easy
For Nexus users don't bother using this for OTA's. Just abd sideload and reroot. 1 star until this app is easier than method mentioned.
This application is not supported to MI devices Please fix for Xiaomi product
Unable to flash 7.1.2 to my pixel xl. I get Error applying update : 20 (Errorcode::kdownloadstateinitialization Error)
Earlier it worked but now when I tried to flash stock firmware it reboots in loading screen and just simply reboots and bricks my phone.
Hey, what's the timebomb? Are you going to explode my phone in September?
It doent work it seems like.." Root access couldn't be aquired".. This shows. Plz help me
I don't like it
It worked only for the firts time, (it loaded and started flashing but i bricked up my phone) and now i flashed my stock rom via odin installed root (supersu) FF and now i want to flash again but it just load the rom, and then just boots up into my stock rom
Great work by chainfire, works great with Nexus 6
Is uncrypt even a word? Maybe decrypt?
Best app for flashing. Took 5 minutes to update my Nexus 5x to latest factory image.
Hats off to you Chainfire...simply awesome
It Doesn't Support on kingroot users
Awesome app love it don't have to use a computer to update my rooted phone
Just managed to update my Nexus 5x to 7.1.2. Everything was smooth and without any problems.
Must have app for installing new rom or factory reset without wiping data
not supported on kingroot
Unsupported on kingroot user
I love Flashfire! Never let me down yet!
Really cool, easy to flash ROMs
Yet to use reassuring to have available
Awesome app !!!!!!can we install twrp zips with it???
great app
This application is the best and worthy of supporting the dev. Flash OTA's without loosing root has been easy as pie. Backing Up without the need if a custom recovery even better. So if your rooted then what you waiting for download this app and support the dev.
My PC died and with it went my ADB routine to update. I wasn't sure how serviceable Flashfire would be as a replacement, but I'm glad I tried... It's easier and quicker and doesn't require a PC and I found my new way to update my rooted phones!
Great idea, but did not work for me. Ended up with "no command" after OTA update on my 5X. Maybe I was missing something. Anyway, I will stick to flashing over USB; it may be more manual work, but it is guaranteed to work.
After several failed attempts to root with Odin pack SM-T325-4.4.2, loaded CF Root and FlashFire directly into the pad. Rest was pinuts as FlashFire did the job. Rooting achieved w/o PC. THANKS PS, how update my Odin pro to Flash fire pro?
This is an amazing app after using it for a while. I get 100% success rates. The people that say there phone is bricked because of this are obviously too stupid to flash anything to there phone and should not be trusted to handle it.
Nice app. It used to work on my phone (MI5)but now it's not, it detects the ota updates but when I click to flash the app crashes, and the app is not able to locate the zip.
This is best app for unknown devices that has not custom recovery.I have yu6000 and there is not too much resources about it on net. I have personally also tried to make custom recovery but it fails . Suddenly , I got error there is a problem communicating with Google server. So, I have deeply research on tricks but nothing works for me . Then , I find flashfire and I have reflashed my stock rom . That works for me . Thanks a lot chainfire .

I have flashed radios and made backups so far. I went back to stock recovery because from what I have read I will not need a custom anymore. Looking forward to using it to flash the next update (either the full package or the OTA if it comes fast enough).
