TU (Movistar/O2) for Android
A nice idea, but really quite poor. Unreliable at answering calls and providing notifications. Crashes occasionally. Buggy behaviour - for example I had an entire conversation the other day with my phone still ringing! Not a good enough solution for WiFi calling. As I get no signal in my home, this app was a major reason for me choosing o2 as a provider....big mistake
Calls generally ok but when I get an incoming call the accept call tap is never present or obvious resulting in a panicking faff to answer call. Also, app does not respect phones "reject numbers" list and allows them to get through! Sort this out o2 if your going to pedal this product as a solution to your shortfalls.
Doesn't work, radio button constantly pulses on/off. Texts come through both on this app and via normal app. O2 sold me a 24 month contract based in this app giving me the passive ability to use WiFi as if it was network signal. It does not work like this at all - you must make the call / text from WITHIN the app. Might as well use Skype then!
Installed this yesterday but it doesn't work correctly. When calls come in, sometimes my phone's screen doesn't light up, sometimes it does. I haven't tried it for outgoing calls yet but I'm not filled with confidence! 2017 Update: Oh dear, it's still awful! I've just tried some voice calls, & there's a 3-4s lag, & when I call my voicemail, it just won't recognise any key presses, so I can't do anything, especially record a temporary greeting, which I forgot to do whilst at home! Poor!
Since the s6edge update the app cuts calls of after 7 minutes of fibre connection. Never previously a issue before the update but now when trying to have important calls the call just drops connection with a message network connection issue. Staying in a signal area where it barely supports g and trying to get calls is frustrating to say the least. Also no way of reporting this through the app either or seeing if there is a fix as I notice that no reply from 02 to other comments.
This could work really well but has far too many issue's. Calls drop out, it gets confused between normal calls and WiFi calls. Fails to ring on a few occasions and then doesn't notify me of the missed call untill i open up the timeline. When I'm connected to WiFi, I can make 1 call or text then if I go to make another, it thinks I'm not connected so I have to switch off WiFi then switch it back on! Time to improve please!
Nice concept. Archaic implementation and heavy phone memory resource usage. Beware of inadvertently making calls using your roaming instead of TuGo which cost me a couple of hundred pounds over 3 days. Customer service is unyielding in their quest to maximising profits. I will seek a not robust international calling facility when I get a moment.
This app is all I can use as I live in an area with literally no reception! The calls drop every single time I use it saying "connectivity problem" and the. It just says call failed.. absolutely dreadful app! It will ring occasionally when I have reception and my Normal ringer is ringing too. The messages occasionally do not send and I don't get notifications half the time for calls and text so miss people all the time...I suggest you fix it 02 and people are relying on apps like this. I have a Microsoft phone for work and I occasionally work from home and it never ever does that!
Hit and miss that this will work. When I receive a call the caller cant hear me so I have to call back in order for it to work. A number of calls and texts dont make it through. Shame as I live in a bad coverage area often work from home. Thought this would fix that but unfortunately it's not up to standard.
This is the best network provided SMS and calls over WiFi! When you set this as default for SMS you won't get duplicate notifications when you're back in signal which is great. Also if you have WiFi and no signal indoors calls automatically come through via WiFi! Sometimes call quality can be choppy but if you just make sure you're close to your WiFi router you'll be fine
Apart from an echo which sound like someone is listening to your calls ( are they? ) this app is a Godsend for people like me in a rural/remote area with little or no signal. No way I could rely on being able to make or receive calls.without it
Edit2 keeps telling me I need an internet connection when I have a really good one. Edit: Seems much better recently. Not as good since the update, can't seen to list and play just voicemail messages in one list as before. I have very patchy mobile coverage at my home office so this helps quite a bit. Also works via my mifi in the car which is on a different mobile network.
Much better since my first review. Works fairly reliably for texts. Would be good to have some way of just receiving one notification (text or TuGo message - whichever arrives first, rather than having to pick which to lose). There's a lag on the wifi calling and calls dropped quite easily but much better than nothing in zero signal areas! Wifi answerphone great.
Love this App. Mobile signal crap at home. Good to keep in touch with no signal, but unfortunately texts, especially security ones take forever to come thru. Try to verify your internet banking or Paypal and you'll see what I mean :$
02 is the only network that works at home but is temperamental to say the least. This app which enables use of wi-fi to send and receive calls means crystal clear communication and has greatly increased the utility of my Mobile.
Good app, call dropouts are a massive annoyance and sometimes the app doesn't recognise the WiFi and juat stops working. The same problems every app has I guess so this one ain't to bad. Handy when you have no reception where you live.
Good when it works. We live in an area that receives pretty much zero coverage from all suppliers. This used to be ideal but over the last year or so it is quite unreliable. It does not always route incoming calls and often drops outgoing saying no internet connection.
Utter garbage. Never works. Person on the other end of the line either can't hear me or there is so much interference they can't make out a word I say
Ok now I can get phone calls over Wi-Fi when there is no service on my phone!. In addition this app is great for handling text and voice messages easily in one place.
I think you've added more bugs than taken them away with the most recent update. This app was "usable" at best but now it doesn't work at all. I have to go in to the app just to check if I have a text message by turning tugo on and off, what's the point in that? Pointless app!
Half the time I don't get notifications of any calls or messages. The calls drop constantly too. Not great when i have no signal at all to call or text!
I've been using this for nearly 2 years and it's been fine. However the latest version appears to be really un-reliable. It drops connection all the time and won't receive calls. Very dissappointed..
Terrible connection! Everything works on my WiFi except this! Calls cut out every few minutes and it says it's not connected to WiFi when it is! Not good when you live rural and no phone signal so rely on this stupid app to contact people. Get it sorted O2!!
Hangs, crashes, won't latch on to WiFi, message threads not duplicated to the Google messaging app that is standard on Android. Unfortunately I have no choice but to continue using this hateful app until O2 give me better coverage.
Doesn't send me notifications any more. Doesn't receive texts from some numbers. It's totally useless now and I'm stuck as there's no signal for any network in my area.
This product is an abomination. Calls don't always come through. Some go directly to voicemail, others don't stop ringing when I answer, those which do make it through generally drop after a few minutes, and i am sitting right next to the wifi router. O2 should be ashamed of themselves for the lack of support for real wifi calling at this stage of the 21st century. I had hoped they were better than we at this, but they are equally lousy and that really is saying something.
I have no usable o2 service either at home or at work so am virtually entirely dependant on tu wifi calling which unfortunately does not work reliably at all. Constantly drops calls even on home broadband, when calling out just gives call failed notification even when line busy. Has serious issues when receiving calls, too many to even mention here! Often doesn't ring at all even whilst using the handset, I will then have all missed calls appear in call register later, sometimes a lot later! Truly awful, most mornings I find myself trying to figure out what im actually paying o2 for. Two stars only because it would be a fairly nice app if it worked.
I downloaded this as it advertised that text messages would use data instead of being charged, so it seemed sensible for when abroad. So why have I been charged £6.42 for messages to someone I needed to contact? I'm livid and this app is pointless.
Great idea but just doesn't work reliably. Gets confused between normal and wifi calls. Lots of missed calls. Sometimes phone rings but there is no tap to answer. Message count is no longer shown on TU Go icon.
This app is plugging the shortfall that O2 has with it's mobile signal which is totally unacceptable. A suggestion for a future update is to have an icon on the top of the phone to indicate when the app is on.
Best described as flaky. I have no signal at home and rely on this. Calls frequently drop out. I rarely complete a call without losing the caller. Sometimes won't connect online. Even had the phone ringing in the background all the time I was on a call. Better than the alternative I suppose which is no mobile at home.
We are in a poor signal area where the normal phone signal comes and goes. Basically this is a good product but lets itself down by not staying on when the phone signal improves during the call. Can be very frustrating.
This drops calls constantly and never receives incoming calls claiming wifi issues with strong signal, no wifi problems in other voip services and 40mbps internet. It's more trouble than it's worth.
I very rarely receive calls/texts through a strong Wifi signal and on outgoing calls the receiver never hears me. I have had to install a land line phone, incurring additional, unwanted fees.
Poor. Drops calls, freezes, fails to recognise when you have WiFi and no signal. Useless. It would be nice for O2 to just offer decent coverage instead of this poor excuse. It's not 2003 anymore!
Cuts out after about a minute of speaking and I never receive calls just notifications saying I missed the call - phone never actually rings! Useful for texting only.
The concept of this is good however you must receive a text message in order to use. A bit daft if the reason you're trying to install is because you have no O2 service.
The texting part is fine, but the calling feature doesn't work for me. Keeps cutting off and crashing when the call is answered the other end...
Buggy UI, buggy operation. Works like a badly written school project. Good idea though, they just need to get someone competent to re-write it from scratch.

It used to be five stars, but for some reason I no longer get notifications for my messages, and it does have a bit of trouble with dropping connection.... Please help with message notifications, as I always used to get them... I tried uninstalling the app and re installed it, but even that didn't work... Will give higher rating if I can get message notifications again
