WEID

The Classroom Control agent, WEID, allows teachers to control the devices in the classroom. The application is adapted to the educational environment and the interface is very ease to manage.

The teacher select the class, the action to launch and optionally a group of students, and the action is executed immediately over the devices that belongs to the selected students.

The application offers two different control panels: Teacher Console and Centre Console.

The functions included at the Teacher Console are the following ones:
- Web Launch: Opens a Web URL at the students' devices.
- APP Launch: Opens an APP at the selected devices.
- Resource Open: Open a shared resource at BigTinCan Hub (Content Management System and Social Network between students and teachers).
- Overview: It allows the teacher to know the application running at each device of the classroom.
- Force APP: Launches an application at the devices, blocking the use of other applications.
- Lock Devices: Sets a black screen at the tablets and it prevents the execution of any other application (this function is used for focusing the attention of students in the class)
- Connectivity: Checks the connection status of the devices.
- Beeper: Beeps with maximum volume to locate the devices from this sound.
- Location: Lets you locate the devices on a map.
- Notification: Displays a message at the forefront of the device.
- PIN Recovery: Resets the passcode to unlock a device.
- Block Camera: Disables the cameras during the given period of time.

It is also possible to eliminate some of the Classroom Control functions from the Teacher Console. For example, some educational centers requests to delete the Location function from the teachers console because of privacy reasons.
