Mentour 360

Brilliant app with high quality footage of several different scenarios shot in 360 degree video in a 737 simulator. Suitable for anyone regardless of their aviation knowledge; from someone having a mild interest in aircraft and flying, to anyone working towards becoming an airline pilot. I personally would like to see a full flight from engine start through to shutdown, obviously of only a short flight as sim time is expensive and time during a long cruise wouldn't necessarily have much happening of interest. Overall an excellent app with only really room for improvement by the inclusion of more videos!

I cannot make it work with my Gear VR. Nowhere does it say it is not compatible with my device. Might be a great app but there needs to be a demo to prove it works first. I paid for it and didn't test it straight away. There goes my money. Ok, I did as the developer requested and installed the cardboard app. Yes I could view the content but could not focus on anything but the forward overhead. (Probably because the phone is not seated correctly.) Nor could I select any one video without removing the phone and selecting the next briefing to play. It looks like it has been filmed in a simulator., which is fine but why are the Master Warning and Master Caution lights on so often? Some procedures seemed to be very short. Maybe acceptable for Google cardboard but I can't raise my rating higher until the above problems are addressed for a Gear VR or the supplier specifies devices. Again I say, there goes my money. This time trying to beta test a product that should have already been tested for my device!

A peek into an otherwise inaccessible environment. Really interesting to see how procedures are carried out. For example I had no idea how quickly the stick is moved during the wind shear maneavour. I hope more content is to come!

Fantastic app.Not just informative for pilots and future pilots but also gives a unique experience for the people unfamiliar with the activities in the flight deck. My friends and I love it.Good quality too.Keep up the great work.

Informative to watch

This app is very informative and is a great way to teach aspiring pilots or whoever is interested in the experience. My only problem is that i am unable to my Samsung gear VR and that it requires the cardboard only.

FUNTASTIC. I just got this app and am using it with the cardboard. The app works fine on my phone no issues so far. I am using the Samsung Galaxy S3. This is a life time experience. I cant explain just get it.

I am a 15 year old from New Zealand that is into flight simulation and exited for a career in aviation in the future and I found this to be really interesting and even useful for the simulator. I use it without a headset and it is still fantastic.

This app is definitely the future for aviation study on both a practical and theoretical level. There is so much room in this app to grow for all student pilots and anyone wanting to know how things get done in a B737-800 cockpit. The quality is awesome the sound perfect and the experience you just have to see for yourself. Keep it up Peter and team!!

I have purchased this app and a vr headset and was blown away by the quality and reality of it, it is super cool and informative. Just go ahead and get it. What are you waiting for?

Awesome concept, but using Note 3 & cardboard, just the introduction vid drained my battery from 90% to 2%. Not worth keeping.

I can see why this is a straight 5 stars! For anyone who enjoys aviation related learning and videos, you need to try this app! Performed by a current, real life 737 training and line Captain, this is as close to the real thing you can get, without actually doing it yourself. Try it, you won't be disappointed!

This is the first app I've seen that makes really good creative use of the VR platform. Hopefully there'll be more content on its way although it's well worth the price even with the content that's there. The only change I would make would be to have the menu system accessible in 3d. At the moment you have to remove the phone from the VR headset to select items on the menu.
