Aproximaciones I

Helga de Alvear (Kirn, Alemania, 1936) fue reconocida en el año 2010 como una de las 100 personas más relevantes e influyentes en el mundo del arte dentro de la afamada lista "Power 100". En ese mismo año se abrió al público el Centro de Artes Visuales Fundación Helga de Alvear en Cáceres, con la exposición "Márgenes de silencio", una selección de 115 obras de la Colección Helga de Alvear.

Con Aproximaciones I se inicia un ciclo de exposiciones a través del cual se pretende revisar desde diferentes ópticas el importante compromiso e implicación que la Colección de la Fundación Helga de Alvear tiene con el arte español contemporáneo. Este primer acercamiento, comisariado por Rafael Doctor, contiene obras del periodo 1975-2011.

En ella se puede apreciar la gran riqueza de discursos y planteamientos que el arte español de los últimos años ha tenido y cómo se ven reflejados en la visión particular de esta colección, sin duda una de las más singulares e importantes que se han creado en nuestro país.

In the same year he opened on Visual Arts Center Foundation Helga de Alvear in Caceres, with the exhibition "Borders of silence", a selection of 115 works from the Helga de Alvear Collection.

With Approaches I started a series of exhibitions through which it intends to review from different perspectives and strong commitment and involvement that the Foundation Collection Helga de Alvear has with contemporary Spanish art. This first approach, curated by Rafael Doctor, contains works of the period 1975-2011.

It can appreciate the wealth of speeches and Spanish art approaches in recent years has had and how they are reflected in the particular vision of this collection, definitely one of the most unique and important that you have created in our country.
