Only with your device and "Slot Car Trainer" you will have a chronometer and lap counter for any scale, analog or digital, electric slot cars track (like Scalextric®, Ninco®, Carrera®, Superslot®, FastLane®...).
HOW?
1) Setup your track ("Helmet" icon or "Menu - Profile")
2) Put your device near your lane
3) Calibrate it (Menu - Sensors - Choose and press Configure)
4) RUN!!
- Each time your car passes near your device it will display your lap time and if it was your fastest lap or your record lap.
- You can use your voice for lap signaling (ideal for Radio Control drivers).

Once set correctly, it's rock solid and gives very accurate timings (tested against my Scalextric Advanced Powerbase display) and no missed laps. Very well thought out. I just finished using this app on my Razr HD to run a slot car race. Once sensitivity and position are tuned in it is flawless. I had zero skipped or duplicated laps during 420 laps of qualify & race heats. The app saves my data to a text file and tracks the current race fast lap. Measure your track and the app converts speeds to full sized cars. The developer is responsive to requests here & at slotcarillustrated.com.

I have tried a number of the slot car timers available, and this one is by far the best. Very easy to use, and requires little set-up. Just remember to lower the threshold for minimum lap times if you, like me, have a short (6 meters) track.

This is a novel way to use a phone or tablet with slot cars. Timing is accurate once the sensor is calibrated (I had to test with a car to find the sensor on my tablet to get the best results). For those with a permanent track a database of times for each car would be useful, possibly with an export to spreadsheet. I will be recommending this to everyone I know who races!

Great start to a great app It is a great start, I'm sure it will get even better with time. One thing that could be added is the ability to register different cars and keep statistics for those cars in the memory with a date and time stamp

This is the app I have been waiting for. It makes slot racing at home fun again. Using a note 4 as primary and a note 2 as the secondary device in the AWESOME race mode. Works flawlessly.
