About Epic-Droid
Epic-Droid is an Android application that allows you to connect to your Epicor 9 ERP system and retrieve real-time information from your server
Key features of Epic-Droid:
• Select Company and Plant that you wish to work with.
• Retrieve data from most of Epicor 9 Business Objects by selecting from the Epicor Menu the associated Entry Screen, apply filters on the data to fetch and view a list of the Tables and their related fields.
• Retrieve a list of Business Activity Queries (system or custom) data anywhere and anytime.
• Review real-time analytics by creating Executive Queries at Epicor 9 and expose them to Business Activity Queries to be retrieved at your mobile platform
Note: To use Epic-Droid you need to have a valid license and logon credentials at your Epicor 9 Server, and have installed the required Business Object Web-services. The process flow depends on your role in the back-end system and any applied security restrictions.

Dimitris has developed this app that also works with version 8.03.409C - or probably any 8.03. It uses the webservices tool just like you use for Service Connect - if you have that installed. I did also need to add the PlantSearchService. The setup was fairly easy with a little help from Dimitris. I have only taken a few minutes for testing and find that my keyboard when it is portrait seems to move back to the beginning of an input field after only two digits (order entry). However, I can either speak the order number or change my keyboard to landscape and it works. The resulting view is a little harder to read and is generally more the format of the tables and fields or I imagine it maybe also similar to the dataset that you would see in Service Connect. But, you can definitely get to the data as read only. I have not tried any reports yet, but see they are all listed. I want to wait until I can verify that I have some smaller results so that I do not time out for a report for example. All in all, I am happy and will continue to test during lag times.
