About 台中優化公車道
臺中市政府於101年進行BRT藍線優先路段之細部設計,以臺鐵臺中站為起點,沿臺灣大道經東海大學至靜宜大學,預計 102 年底先於靜宜大學至東海大學路段試運轉,並於103年3月全線試運轉。後續規劃 6 條路線,遍及大臺中 29 區之快捷巴士願景路網,打造大臺中完善大眾運輸路網。
臺中市政府為提供更有效率、方便、舒適的大眾運輸服務,因此,自104年7月8日起推動臺灣大道優化公車專用道,提高專用道的使用效率,開放雙節公車與一般公車行駛,共有9條公車路線進入專用道(300~308),每日總行駛班次將倍增,民眾候車時間縮短一半以上,讓公車一方面保有行駛專用道之優勢,也提升汽機車族群的使用安全。
