Debt Snowball for Android
It's a good app, though I would like a weekly payment option. Everyone saying that their debt snowball is asking them to pay more than they make in a month - that is your own darn fault for living that far above your means. If you can't pay your debt off reasonably, you shouldn't have that much debt in the first place and you need to find a way to make more cash and pay it off. I'm serious. Be financially responsible, don't complain that you can't afford a 2,000 square foot house right out of college.
So, this app doesn't actually show adjusted payments after the previous debt has been paid. Not true snowball. It is also missing any kind of comprehensive graph, only single line graphs per debt. I was really hoping this would be useful, but I've seen more useful calculators online.
I can add debts and payments and it does that math but there is no schedule, none of the charts are there. Debts, payments and settings are the only menu items
Like it except now it tells me to put in a minimum payment which I did and it won't let me add a bill. ?????
The debt snowball is a great concept and this app seems to work well, however if a person breaks down the monthly payments into smaller weekly payments they will save tons on interest fees. The result is a much faster payoff, since you are reducing the principle with each payment your total monthly interest will not be as high and you will reach debt free status much faster, in some cases years sooner. This would be an awesome feature.
Would be lovely if you could use this in landscape and it had some type of helpful tips. It could be better with a little twerking here and there but hey it's free. Just make it so you can also view all pages in landscape if one chooses.THANKS
I entered all of my debts but only the first one shows under current debts. I know the others are in there somewhere because the total debt amount and total number of payments got bigger each time I entered a debt.
The apps ok except it does not accept my minimum payment and will not accept my monthly income. Keep telling me my monthly payments are more than i make in a month in the off months in my seasonal town. Please fix
It is easy to use. I just wish it shows the date I will pay off each item clearly on the main screen, not just how many months. It shows on the graph, but the dates are so small that I can't read well.
I find it interesting that I see an ad in this app asking me to go into more debt. Please make ads dave ramsey approved.
Gives a tiny line graph that is ambiguous at best. Tells you nothing step by step on what to pay first. Cant change budget so it tells me to allocate 4000 to my debt each month which is more than my take home salary. Useless.
It's a decent app but I would like some control over which debt to pay off first. This app just assumes I'll pay off my smallest debt first.
I don't like that you cannot delete a debt after it is paid off. Also, you can't add to the balance if you use a card(i.e. I used my credit card for gas). Instead I had to add a new debt, with a different creditor name (or you get an error), in order to have 1 new charge added to the snowball. Please fix.
1 day payment alert did note alert me it was time to pay my card. For the minimum payment, I'm guessing it is the minimum payment the card is sugessting, what if you pad more than the minimum payment. I don't see last payment etc. There is no tutorial for help.
This app is a great help. The graph does lack some ease of use and detail.
This app is handy and it is nice to be able to watch my debt go down!
Why does it say to enter a minimum payment and when I do it still says it! It won't let me enter the new debt without it. Allow it to enter new debts without the error message of new minimum debt payment so I can actually use it!
I've entered all of my debts and interest rates. The app tells me how many months till I'm debt free but is it supposed to tell me which debts to pay off first? And is the amount you enter above and beyond the minimum balances? I think I need more instructions but do far it's been easy to enter everything. Thanks for any help! Another question. .. is there a paid version that has more capabilities?
I took Dave Ramsey course so I know what to expect with his app. I am glad I found it. Very excited.
Does what it's supposed to. Awesome! Thanks for the free app
I thought I had Debt that I had to pay but it said $0. I am really happy.
I used this method "debt snowball" in the past to payoff debt and obtain a high credit score to purchase my home... i then went back to school and accrued more debt. Many people are giving low scores because they can't add new debts to existing ones after making a purchase, or because they can't pay off the lowest debt first but you would not be following the snowball. ... it really works and I'd suggest you read up on debt snowball.
App is good only problem I have is cannot edit payments
I've found so far, easy to use, easy to understand
Pretty straight forward app. But after 2 years, I've noticed that the interest rate isn't calculating properly. Time to find a better app...
This really helps to be organized
Why won't this sync with the account online? You have us make an account online then make an app that won't even interface with it. Imagine if linkedin, facebook yahoo or Google did this.
Need help getting rite of all debt
Couldn't get it to do anything. Couldn't enter my dents
Good app
There is no instructions for the app or how to use it
Can keep an eye on what is going on with all the credit card debt and stay ahead and pay down the right ones first....you see the progress
This is an easy app to use. I like the simplicity of the view and the layout.
