SOAP Note for Android
Tried to create a note and it closed down so many times I gave up. Nice idea, but I won't use it when it continuously closes down. I think paper is better
Just downloaded and gave it a test run. Great app, I've been looking on and off for something like it for some time now. My only complaint is that I can't share/print my SOAP to an organized PDF, it's just a list, which makes it pretty difficult to read. I'm in the process of becoming a Wilderness and Remote First Aid Instructor for the Red Cross, and would like to use this to create example SOAP notes for my students, and to suggest that they download it as well. To be able to hand them a completed and readable example would be amazing, especially if I did minimal work for it! lol. It would be a great feature. As a current WFR and (hopefully) soon to be WEMT, this is invaluable and much more legible than a hand written SOAP. Even still, I can't see myself using this as I treat the patient, but more as a PCR afterwards, where I transfer the info into it so that I will have my own records of the incident to keep and share as needed/required. Overall, the four stars is only because it doesn't print out a a neat and organized SOAP when it is fairly plausible to do so.
It works well once I turned off my phones auto rotate. I used it durring my wilderness first aid class, but now I can't figure out how to delete my practice incidents. Help?
Happy to have something to help remember and record.
Excellent app.
Helpful reminder in class setting, but takes awhile to key in or speak notes. Cannot delete individual soap notes after completing. B/P should be typed, not drop down. No criteria for FSA (clear c-spine). Help to put diagram to point where injury/ies are, though photos nice touch. Paper notes faster, but could be useful for legal documents.
Good to have, but best have a paper version in the outdoors
I love the app as I do much work outside and have always had to come up with my own paperwork to take along. There are only two things I wish it had. First was I wish it that it had an actual narrative section where I could write a formal narrative to sum everything up as I would in real ems work. Lastly I would like to be able to write out a name instead of initials. Overall a phenomenal app and a great first step tho!
Excellent app.
I really like the drop down menus for most areas of the app. It would be nice to be able to type in the BP value instead of scroll through the preset numbers. The vitals have a great timer feature, however when scrolling past HR it is easy to put in the pulse into the RR category. More color/contrast would be nice for the description of each category. As a free tool, however, I still think this is EXCELLENT. Thanks WMI!
Good flow from section to section, and the tooltips are great. Would like to see a little better design around the input UI for the various fields - a body diagram for highlighting injury areas would be awesome!
As a WFR I found it to be quite useful. Simply superb.
