About Touch Signature
The lock pattern you use to protect your personal pictures and messages on your smartphone appears less secure then it should be. Such a passcode is easily overlooked by somebody or can be extracted from the smudges on your screen.
I'm conducting a research towards better protection of this passcode system. The idea is simple: not only WHICH pattern, but also HOW you enter your pattern can be used to identify yourself. Just like a signature, small deviations in the way you enter the code are unique and can be used to make sure you are the rightful owner of the device.
To test this protection mechanism I need a lot of data and you are able to help:
Please install the following app on your android device and enter the pattern which is presented to you.
This takes only 1 minute of your time. The experiment is then repeated after some time, of which you'll receive a notification.
