About Co.Map
NOTE: We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience, but in upgrading to Co.Map 1.4c3NCC, all concept maps created in previous versions will be lost. For those concept maps you wish to keep, we suggest users touch the "save" button and take a screen capture (PDF) of the concept map.
Please check out Co.Map - a COLLABRIFIED concept mapping app! Besides the usual things you
can do in a concept mapping tool (create a node, create a relationship, etc.), the key distinguishing
feature of Co.Map is that two or more learners, each on her or his Android device, can work together –
simultaneously – co-creating and/or co-editing the SAME concept map!
The learners can be co-located, sitting together, face-to-face, in the classroom or they can not
be co-located, with each learner sitting in their homes at their kitchen tables. When not co-located, the
learners can be talking, verbally, using Google Hangouts running in the background.
Co.Map is focused on supporting learners in K-8; we believe that a simple interface and core
functionality is a feature, not a bug! We believe that easy to learn, easy to use is at the heart of an
effective educational app.
Co.Map is one of the collabrified apps in the Co.llaborative Suite of Apps developed at the
Intergalactic Mobile Learning Center, housed more or less at the University of Michigan & the University
of North Texas.
With Co.Map a learner never has to learn alone again!
