Simple Tip Calculator

Easily the best tip calculator in the Play store. Just punch in your numbers and that's it -- no need to tap to bring up a keyboard, no need to hit enter after your input, etc. Easy.

I really like the simplicity of the app. However, maybe it's me but I can't find the features that will allow me to set the local tax rate or change the background colors. There is nothing that I find that will bring up app settings, (Just noticed this is developed by a community college with no ads... very cool! So raising the star and hopefully you can let me know why I can't find the features. I'd like to be able to set/change the tax rate)

I downloaded all of the highest rated tip calculators and this one was by far the best. Its very clear and simple, something the others were not.

Easiest tip calc out there...

Smooth interface. Easy to use. My only problem is that tax is only able to be applied after the tip. Does not help for individual calculation

Simple to use and gives choice of including tax when figuring tip or not. Can round up if you wish. Couldn't be better.

New keypad makes it perfect. Using tax rate makes results precise.

Needs shake to clear, default tip %, and volume rocker controls payers, tip, or disable. Otherwise, great! :)

I have used several other tip apps that I thought were cool because they had fun graphics...but that's just a waste of space. This app doesn't want any personal info or access to the 'inside' of your phone. Smallest footprint ever! EASIEST to use & you can choose your screen color (I like pink).

I downloaded 28 different tip calculators on Google Play -- some trial versions of paid apps, some free -- and this was the one that came out on top. Here are the reasons. 1) Simple. One screen. Intuitive to use. 2) Accurate. Some reviews from 2011 state that the app made mistakes when computing percentages; that may have been true then, but it's certainly not now. I have yet to get an error, even when working with awkward/enormous amounts. 3) Free. There are no ads or pop-ups, and it's not a vehicle for giving a company/developer name public exposure. In fact, I can't find developer's name anywhere in the app. 4) Options. Allows you to calculate tip with or without sales tax. You can split or not split. You can round the tip, round the total, or round nothing. You can choose any tip percentage from 1-100. 5) Themes. You can make your calculator look as classy or garish as you wish from the range of built-in themes provided. I wish this app had appeared at the top of Google's listings rather than at the end, so I could have found it first and avoided a massive search.

I'm impressed, works perfectly, many choices for tip %'s, 2 choices for rounding off, clean and above all... NO PERMISSIONS!!! Thanks guys.

Quick & it can exclude tax. On-screen numeric keyboard. Sweet.

Works great. Like that you can show split tip and total. Wish you could see and set tax rate on home screen.

Ugly, portrait only, and featureless. Tax must be deleted to be turned off. Worst of the worst.

Not accurate for 100.00 at 20% it shows 19.00 for a tip, great math. Looking for a better app. Please fix. Thanks.
