About Chelada (beta)
Chelada allows you to create context aware tasks that use your phone's full capabilities to give you reminders, find information and perform simple actions such as retrieving directions or sending text messages when, how and where you want them.
Create a one time reminder to take out the trash next time you're home or create a task to remind you every weekday morning to take an umbrella if the weather forecast calls for rain. Schedule to send your friend a text message when you arrive at the local coffee shop or to retrieve a transit schedule to work right when you arrive at the bus stop or train station. When your flight lands, automatically have your car rental information ready and driving directions to your hotel waiting.
Chelada uses your phone's capabilities to monitor the time, location and weather conditions that you set and can provide reminders, open URLs, send text messages and/or find directions and public transit schedules when these conditions are met.
Chelada comes with a built-in "Remember Your Umbrella" task.
Chelada has been developed at the Human Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. This is a beta release of the application. Feel free to provide feedback while using the application (there's an item in the menu to do so) and please have patience while we work out the bugs :)
