E-Mission: Less GHG emissions for Android
It integrates with the Moves fitness tracking app to automatically determine your trips. It currently asks you to manually classify your motorized trips, but as we collect more data about your travel patterns, it will be able to prompt you less often.
This app has been developed by students from the Computer Science and Transportation Engineering departments at UC Berkeley. We plan to use the aggregate data collected by the app for research into sustainable transportation.
Thank you for helping us better understand the carbon footprint of transportation, and how to reduce it!

I enjoyed using this app. It does a very good job of taking the basic "Moves fitness tracking app" data and enhancing it with a finer breakdown of the transportation related segments (which in Moves are pretty much walk, bike, and a generic 'transit'). This app allows you specify what type of transit and even tries to learn over time. It get's four stars because there are a few quirks with the user interface, but nothing that is a show-stopper, and it seems rock solid on my Motorola G - never had it crash once, and I didn't notice any change in my battery life, which is important.
