About App Ops [Root]

App Ops is compatible with Lollipop!

App Ops is an activity, within the Settings app, that allows users to enable or disable operations on a per-app basis. These operations cover many common scenarios identified by permissions (e.g., read contacts, write contacts, access location), though it is not a pure one-to-one mapping.

Root required.

On Android 4.4.2, App Ops is removed. This app helps you to bring it back.

Otherwise, this app have a button to start stock App Ops on older Android version (4.3, 4.4)

App installs but no interface. Normal app ops did not change. Did I just install a rootkit/virus? Will uninstalling it undo the 2nd install that required a reboot?

Working fine on my rooted 5.1.1 smartphone. A good tool to turn off permissions from individual system and user apps. Only bad thing is showing too much ads.

Can't love this app more. I tune privacy and device wakeup and keep awake for every single app I install and system apps. Google play services not draining my battery anymore!

C70%

Loved it when it was in lollipop. Although there are plenty of scopes to improve the interface but overall it was working perfectly. I was able to save a lot of energy consumption of my mobile but unfortunately it is no more working in Marshmallow. Although Marshmallow has a permission adjustment area but not as exhaustive as this app. Dev.... Can you update this app to work in Marshmallow too?

by G####:

Won't let you block an app from all of the access you had to allow to install it. Example: an app requested media, call log and identity permission to install. This app opps will only allow me to block it from modify settings, draw on top and keep awake!!! Issue #2 is the apps are not sortable so you have to scroll through all of the apps just to find what you are looking for. This pertains to the root version and the unrooted version. Poor application !

I was almost able to live with the little ads at the bottom but when exiting it popped up a full screen screaming video ad. That's a real POS move

No way to SEARCH for apps. No way to revert changes to default perm set. INVASIVE FULL SCREEN ADS.

Installation fails on HTC One_M8 running stock rooted 5.0.1. The installer appears to place an APK inside /system/priv-app/ but said APK doesn't run.

Installer installs the program, but the program doesn't launch. Running on rooted CM12.1 (5.1.1 Android)

I loved this when my devices were on kitkat. Now that one device is on lollipop, I can use this. It needs a search feature. Marshmallow has its own permissions, so that's fine.

App opens but never loads Apps List ....times out and Force Closes every launch

Great to have access to the app permissions that our friends at Google hid from us who use KK

Install, reboot... and nothing installed. APK did not appear in /system/priv-app as mentioned by another review. I manage root with kingroot (permanently allowed access to you, no luck.)

Works, but settings keep having to be reapplied.

One of the reasons why I like Android so much is due to this app. Thanks to it I can control exactly what each app can access in my phone. This is a must have app!

U70%

Bottom ads (ok) but.. Then a full-screen ad appears when hit back button. Ugly. Also the app some times closes itself (1+2 rooted stock)

U70%

The original app permission in the application manager remains even after denying the permission.
