DroidRoom for Android
Can not save a new file. Totally worthless for composing if all it can do is edit existing files. The very fact that this app does not have the ability to save or open files from within the app is sophmoric nonsense.
It should be clear that it depends on other apps being installed. The experience is a bit clunky, but all in all it is usable and pretty close
I made a mistake buying this before reading the reviews. Can't create or save files? WTH!
Excellent, exactly what I wanted. Like darkroom or writeroom from pc or MAC. Lets me just concentrate on content without worrying about formatting.
The basic idea - Zork-like, distraction free writing screen - is there. The requirement to install AndExplorer is annoying but livable. What makes it not work for me is that once you write beyond half a screen, at least on my Nexus 4, the line on which you're writing is hidden behind the keyboard - i.e. the screen scrolls, but not at the right point. Uninstalled.
Garbage. It asks you to install AndExplorer, which it doesn't ask you to do anywhere in the description. Does not scroll, keyboard overlaps text.
Great idea like dark room, but in practice keyboard covers text after half a page written. Back to evernote...
Inability to create a new file cripples this program.
It's ok, but doesn't mention that it relies on the standard keyboard input. Maybe this is the closest we can get to distraction-free on a phone!
This app does not work for tablets very well. On my Transformer Prime, this application writes with a font that 's half the screen by default. Lowering it makes the fonts grainy - not good. Refunding.
