ITMeeting

Il Dipartimento di Informatica organizza un evento a cadenza semestrale denominato "ITMeeting" che si tiene a maggio e a dicembre di ogni anno per permettere ed agevolare l'incontro tra i neolaureati, i laureandi e le aziende produttrici o grandi utilizzatrici di soluzioni informatiche.



Aziende partecipanti

Le aziende partecipanti sono multinazionali o aziende a respiro nazionale che hanno anche una sede nel territorio del comune di Roma o della Regione Lazio, ma anche aziende più piccole generalmente ubicate nel Lazio e che svolgono attività fortemente innovative nel settore informatico.

Esempi di aziende del primo tipo sono la IBM, la Accenture, la NTT Data, o la Reply. Queste aziende hanno assunto negli ultimi anni molti dei nostri neolaureati e hanno offerto stage e tirocini di laurea ai nostri studenti. Il feedback che abbiamo ricevuto da loro è stato molto positivo, poiché si sono dichiarate soddisfatte della preparazione dei nostri neolaureati e hanno quasi sempre assunto gli studenti al termine dello stage/tirocinio.

Un esempio di piccola azienda innovativa è la MobileSoft di Roma, che ha assunto già un paio di neolaureati in Informatica, ha assunto nominato direttore tecnico un nostro laureato con circa cinque anni di anzianità di laurea, e ha offerto quest'anno il primo stage di laurea a una studentessa della magistrale.

Strutturazione dell'evento

L'ITMeeting è un evento piccolo nel suo genere: partecipano circa 80 studenti ad ogni edizione (tra laureandi e neolaureati) e, proprio per questo, permette alle aziende di conoscerli ad uno ad uno. Nell'ambito di una mattinata, l'evento comprende sempre:

• la presentazione di ciascuna azienda (plenaria di 10/20 minuti)
• la organizzazione di piccoli stand dove le aziende mostrano il loro materiale informativo e, in taluni casi, i prototipi di materiale elettronico o informatico in sviluppo
• un panel di un'ora, al quale partecipano tutti i rappresentanti aziendali centrato ogni volta su un diverso tema legato allo stato dell'arte in informatica o alle problematiche del mondo del lavoro
• dei colloqui conoscitivi brevi (tipo speed date) tra i laureandi/neolaureati e le aziende

Gli studenti parlano con tutte le aziende, anche se per pochi minuti, e c'è uno scambio di informazioni e di contatti molto soddisfacente per entrambi.

Questa app permette agli studenti di registrarsi ai colloqui e di inserire il proprio CV e organizza automaticamente il calendario dei colloqui.


Per le aziende

Le aziende registrate all'evento possono fare login, conoscere il calendario dei propri colloqui e visualizzare i CV degli studenti. ITMeeting

The Computer Science Department organizes a twice-yearly event called "ITMeeting" held in May and December of each year to allow and facilitate the meeting between the graduates, undergraduates and the manufacturers or large users of IT solutions.



Participating companies

The participating companies are multinationals or companies at national scope that also have an office in the Municipality of Rome and the Lazio Region, but also smaller companies generally are located in New York and whose activities are highly innovative in the computer industry.

Examples of the first type of companies are IBM, Accenture, NTT Data, or the reply. These companies have taken in recent years and many of our graduates are offered internships and graduate placements to our students. The feedback we have received from them has been very positive, because they were satisfied with the preparation of our graduates and have almost always taken the students at the end of the internship / apprenticeship.

An example of a small innovative company is the MobileSoft of Rome, which has already taken a couple of graduates in Computer Science, has appointed technical director hired our graduates with five years of seniority degree, and has given us this year the first stage a graduate student in the master.

Structuring event

The ITMeeting is a small event of its kind: about 80 students participate each year (including undergraduates and graduates) and, for this reason, allows companies to know them one by one. As part of a morning, the event always includes:

• the presentation of each company (plenary of 10/20 minutes)
• the organization of small stands where companies show their information material and, in some cases, the prototypes of electronic or computer in development
• a panel of one hour, with the participation of all company representatives whenever centered on a different theme related to the state of the art in computer science or the problems of the working world
• cognitive interviews of short (type speed date) among undergraduates / graduates and companies

Students speak with all companies, even if for a few minutes, and there is an exchange of information and contacts very satisfactory for both.


For undergraduates and recent graduates

This app allows students to register at the talks and include your CV and automatically organizes the schedule of talks.


For companies

Companies registered event could log in, know the timing of their discussions and view the CVs of students.
