About CloudCaster
CloudCaster enables you to cast supported media files directly from the cloud to your Chromecast.
Perfect if you need to display pictures or play video/audio from the cloud in your living room.
What CloudCaster can do
CloudCaster can cast supported media directly to the Chromecast. For it to work, the media file and its codecs has to be supported by the Chromecast. See supported media here: https://developers.google.com/cast/docs/media
If you experience black screen, screen tears or corrupted audio, your file is most likely not supported.
CloudCaster can not transcode audio or video, since media is cast directly from the cloud provider to your Chromecast. Be sure your internet connection is of high quality to ensure audio and video files doesn't lag. When streaming directly from the cloud to the Chromecast, CloudCaster cannot influence the quality of service - it acts merely as a remote control.

Supported media
See https://developers.google.com/cast/docs/media for a list of supported formats on the Chromecast. If your file is not compatible, you will need to convert it or use a transcoding DLNA server.
Free version
The free edition of CloudCaster contains ads and only allows you to add one cloud account.
If you upgrade to the premium version via in-app purchase, ads will be removed, you can configure unlimited accounts and save favorites. Please restart app after buying premium version.

This is literally the best free casting app! Never have any hiccups with it, except for occasionally when I click a video it plays the one underneath it. Not that big of a deal, but just a little thing. Also love the ability to play off cloud drives!

Because it won't let me select which account to use it with. I've got two Google accounts on this device, I'm not buying the app twice just so I can use it without ads. Also, unfortunately, pretty bad performance when it was working.

Performance casting photos from my OneDrive is very poor. Sometimes only half the image loads, other times I just get a nice black screen. Useless.

It started off with problems where it just wouldn't cast anything, overheated my device and displayed obtrusive ads. After several device reboots and a restful night it seemed to kick into life. Works OK and UI is nice but could be a little more intuitive during playback. It would be very good if it detected FolderSync Pro and used the same cloud account credentials. Overall it's worth the money for the premium version.

Just tried it out on mp4 video format & thought great it works but only 5 seconds if that & it works with out the gromecast sound. But still got loads off room 4 inprovment to keep up with the Jones..l do like it but very plain could do with some spiceing up a bit..

Less review, more cry for help from developer. After update, every time I try to connect to my chromecast the tv screen goes black, and I get an error on my phone "request has timed out" I was using Avia, but it won't connect about 40% of the time, and cloud caster has always been my go to since I found it. Please help, paid for the app!

Uploaded my home videos on to google drive and with cloudcaster I can now watch them on my TV without messing about with DVDs. Very easy to use just link the account where your files are stored and the app does the rest.

I'm using it primarily to stream video from Drive. It works far better than the other apps I've tried, but there is an issue if I pause a video for a minute I get errors. Other than that it works great. Highly recommended.

Netflix, Google Play Movies, and everything else I've tried work perfectly with my Chromecasts. When I fire this up, all I get is a Google branded error page. Needed to stream from my Drive account, so I tried Localcast, and that works perfectly
