Life-boats - en sejlende skulpturel installation i beton

De tre skibe Life-boats er udført af billedkunstner Marit Benthe Norheim med direkte social delagtighed, kunstnerisk udveksling og inkorporeret musik af komponist Geir Johnson.

I Life-boats app'en finder du information om hver enkelt Life-boat, bådenes nuværende position og deres tilblivelsesproces. I appen har du også mulighed for at tage dit billede af Life-boats og dele det med andre brugere i appen og på sociale medier.

Om Life-boats:
Life-boats tre skulpturer, der er funktionelle skibe og sejlende kulturhuse, opsøger deres publikum. De sejler med frivillig besætning, miljørigtige elmotorer og kunstnerisk udveksling i Danmark og ud på de europæiske floder og kanaler.

De udgør en livscyklus med titlerne: Mit skib er ladet med Længsel, med Liv og med Minder.

Hvert skib har sin egen identitet og fortælling, som deres udvendige fremtrædelsesform og deres indersider forholder sig til. Publikum kan, i de byer hvor skulpturskibene lægger til, gå ombord i dem og opleve deres indre installationer.

The three ships Life-boats is done by artist Marit Benthe Norheim direct social complicity, artistic exchange and incorporated music by composer Geir Johnson.

In the Life-boats app you will find information about each Life-boat, boat's current position and their genesis. The app also allows you to take your picture of the Life-boats and share it with other users in the app and on social media.

About Life-boats:
Life-boats three sculptures that are functional vessels and sailing cultural, seeking out their audience. They sail with a volunteer crew, environmentally friendly electric motors and artistic exchange in Denmark and out on European rivers and canals.

They represent a life cycle entitled: My ship is loaded with longing, with life and with memories.

Each ship has its own identity and narrative, as their outer appearances shape and their inner pages refers to. The audience can, in the cities where the sculpture ships call, to go on board and experience their inner installations.

The boats are flagships of European Culture Main Place Aarhus 2017.
