My Movies Pro - Movie Library

Does exactly what I need it to do. Paid for pro so I can catalogue my whole collection and not run out of space!

Now wants more money. Good app but not worth paying 2x

For checking collection but now no longer supported/updated as new buggy version released. For users recently purchasing and being notified of upgrade, you best contact Google and dispute for refund and when new version fixed purchase that. Developers could have blocked sales of this version to prevent the complaints they are now getting but still charging £5 for it....

Since the new app release, I'm not able to enter a custom entry. It gives me an error message. I'm satisfied with the app otherwise and have no need to upgrade unless I'm not going to be able to make custom entries.

For now 1 star until I received a reply, I purchased the full version on 4/21/14 now I have to pay again ? I love this app and it would be 5 stars but not going to pay every year for an upgrade.

Please let me know when pro 2 will work on the Sony z3... Scans and adds but shows blank screen after.. Paid then refunded

Having already recently paid for it I'm disappointed to hear I'll have to pay again. Iv read the reasoning however feel there should be a refund option for those who don't wish to pay again.

But gutted its been updated and not for free... Would love albums, I.e, Kids and Adults and only just found shuffle for random...gutted, as had it ages..lol...can never pick a movie, needs to be in categories tho...good move..

BEWARE! You don't pay once of the application, you have to repurchase every new pro version of application as they release it as new separate application (my movies pro) , (my movies pro 2), (my movies pro 3)...

Everything was fixed after a factory reset. Was going to do it any way but it also helped the app when I installed it again. Just hurry up with version 2!

I have over 800 movies this is a lifesaver as far as making sure I don't buy multiple copies of a movie

I like the app but how long does it take to get a reply back from them after I sent an email for a issue I'm having?

Keeps track of all my movies...if I lend them out, etc. I love it and it is easy to use. I can even make my own categories...Christmas, Halloween, favorite chic movies... Highly recommended!!

I have had this app for months and really enjoyed using it. Whenever I went to the store and couldn't remember if I had a movie or not I would just look at my library. I have over 250 movies in my library. It took quite a bit of time to add them all in. So imagine my surprise when I go to add my newest movie and find everything gone from my library. Sadly, I find that in order to add more i need to pay for an update. I have never had an app request more money for an update.

Edit: I was refunded the double billing. This is by far the best and feature rich app to catalog you movies. Having the IMDB integration us a great asset

Just bought this app a few months ago and WAS very happy until I got an email that the app I just paid for would no longer receive updates. If I wanted the newest updates, I would need to purchase the updated app again even though I just purchased this one. Very frustrating and no telling how long before they ask users of the new app to repurchase. Very poor way to treat paying customers, stay away from this company's apps!

it's ofc ok to offer a newer paid version, but giving existing customers not even the slightest price drop is kinda rude... especially since I just use the app to not accidently buy a DVD or bluray twice... guess am just making a list of my collection on imdb now and use their free app in the future.

Wish I had known there would be a new version before I paid for this one less than a month ago. I would have waited. Now I have to wait until payday to upgrade.

I've had this app for over five years now, and have never had a problem. I will purchase the new app when it becomes available.

These SCAMMERS made a new version (2) that anyone who has bought this version Is Be Forced to Purchase Again instead of being a free upgrade as is usual with everyother app. Beware for anyone buying this app.

I love this app it stores all my collection and I can mark who borrowed from my collection.

Great app for keeping track of your collection! If any information is wrong you can report it and it will get corrected. Can't wait to get the New Updated Version when it comes out!!! Downloaded the preview version and the new interface is Amazing!!!

Best movie database manager app I have found.

But no longer being updated with new features. Will still receive support, but if you want the new stuff, you'll have to buy it -- again. Wish I would've known they were gonna stop, but they got my money, and I'm just out of the refund period so they don't care. I won't purchase the "new version" after this.

I have a huge movie collection and I have been keeping an inventory for years. I have been using movie label for years which is great but a bit pricey and entering the data can be time consuming and most of the time the covers generated were wrong. With my movies pro I just scan the bar code and done! I upgraded to pro after 10 minutes of use. Very happy with this app.

If you have dvds or nblu ray and want to get them organized this is the app for you.

Now upgraded to version 2.

not able to contact them. i have the paid version but this version does not allow me to use the barcode scanning feature. It only allows me to manually enter in the titles. what use is this paid app if it removes features. Tried contacting them but nothing works on their website. not able to even ask in the forum.

Update: Developers response says it all. Contrary to his remarks he could give recent purchases a deserved break. Purchased this app with the idea it would be supported for a reasonably amount of time. Updates are no longer available after less than 60 days and the developers response is pretty much "tough s**t" NOT HAPPY AT ALL!

I love this database and everything has been fine, added some today and they not arranging properly, half of the last letter is in the one before and sequels are not falling into order.

(Installed on Samsung S5 & Samsung 10.1 Tablet) I can't believe how great this app is!! This has made the tracking of my movies so easy. I use this app every time I go to store to check if I have movie in my collection already. 525+ Movies! ***To remark on another user: As for movies that are bundled, instead of scanning them as a group, I enter each movie separately. E.g.: Clint Eastwood Collection. I will enter each movie indiviually. This way I have a real count of my movies. Thanks!!!

I had started my own database on Excel before finding this - mine was taking ages! This is so quick and simple. Brilliant. I would like it if the DVD count was how many DVD's were in your collection though and not those that have been scanned i.e I have a Home Alone 1 & 2 movie pack but that counts as 1 in your collection and not 2 - just a 'little' annoying for a true count. Still that's not enough to take away from 5 stars. Amazing. I have no need to upgrade to 2 as this does everything that I could want!

Poor business practices cannot be commended. Just because an app has been supported for 5 years doesn't mean you get to charge your customer base twice for what's essentially an update. Instead of having old users continuing to build your customer base for you, you alienate them by passing on the cost in a manner that is clearly upsetting. There are no guarantees that another update down the road won't be construed as the next major release, and then prompting another payment. I have recommended this app to several friends and relatives, but will now actively warn people instead.

Works great with the desktop companion. Last update seems to be working just fine. Still enjoying the look of the app. Just wish scrolling through the movie covers was more fluid and smoother.

I purchased as I had the the original app my movies pro only issues with the new very of the app is slow down issues and making battery get very warm when using. I would also like to see the future return so you can view covers full screen.

DO NOT BUY THIS. This is a scam. I just recently purchased this and the company is dropping support. Instead of continuing to upgrade they are instead making a new version with all the requests people had and making everyone buy it again as a new app. These are shady business practices. Do not give them any more money, find another app and move on as they will continue to do this over and over!

Could you make this so I can upload my movie collection from my wireless portable wd cloud harddribe.. it should be able to recognise the movie titles and add them on to our movie list.. now that would be ace!!!

Get great use out of it and after fooling around discovered ways to post online for my friends to view list as well
