Baby Monitor

Works excellent. 6/5 stars. I can't hear the little dude crying because my pc sounds like a 747 taking off. I work at home sometimes, but we didn't want to buy a baby monitor. Well guess what, who needs one anyway with this app. I let it call my landline, I can hear if it was just a cough or if he's really awake. When I hang up it continues listening. Perfect.

So far its never let us down.. We use it only in situations where the baby is deep asleso and we need to get some other things done.. No app is perfect so please don't stop checking in on your kids every 10 to 20 minutes.. Awesome app!

This app does exactly what it's supposed to. You just put in a phone number, and when the noise level goes above what you set it to, it calls or texts the number depending on what you've specified. We've used this app several times while traveling. One suggestion I would make for an update is to whatsapp or use some other type of wifi supported program to contact the other phone for countries your phone may not work in.

I wanted an app that would track my baby's sleep. The sleep diary doesn't allow for editing, which is frustrating. It also adds comments from other entrys if you leave it blank. I am uninstalling this app and tracking baby's sleep by hand. Very disappointing.

I forgot my actual baby monitor after traveling 7 hours from home and i just had it call the home I was at so my child could sleep upstairs! Lifesaver! You can even test the sensitivity before setting the actual alarm. Worked perfect!

After the newest skype update, skype prevents this baby monitor app from calling you. It asks if the call is to be made over skype or over the phone. Thus the baby might be crying and the app will be waiting for someone to tell it to use the phone.

What a life saver! Forgot to pack the baby monitor and needed to make sure the baby wasn't screaming his head of while he took a nap. This saved the day and alerted the number I designated as soon as he made a noise above the sound level I set.

this app is great but it would be nice if you could set it to call skype or went through the internet somehow so we could use an old phone or tablet as the monitor part. going to uninstall it as it is kinda useless unless you have a second phone all the time

Works amazing. Mu daughter cried it called my husbands cell phone n we heard het n it also sent us a text a must have app.. SAVED US MONEY

Its a great app especially if you are out and end up staying over and you dont have your monitor. I set it up to ring my better halfs phone if our little one woke up. Worked perfectly. The only downside is not with the app but if you have poor signal it cant call you.

The sensitivity is really hard to adjust to a particular number. If user could simply type in the number, that would be much better. The alarm sometimes triggers with background noise only. But for the same sensitivity, it sometimes doesn't trigger by the baby crying.

When the phone detects the sound, it calls the phone, and after I hang up the call from the destination/contact phone, app gets back into the monitoring mode and it shows 20dB at first couple of seconds, and then 0dB,and then doesn't detect anything (until I start monitoring again(without restarting the app)). To avoid this problem, I enabled external speaker option, and plugged in headphones. It works just fine now and montioring works always, even after it called once or any number of times. App is great

...to disable calling somehow if accidently left running? I stuck phone in pocket and it spent a fortune calling my wife's voicemail! My own stupid fault but would be great if app detected it.

I was so happy when i discovered this app and it worked perfectly for about 6 months. Then, for no apparent reason, it stopped working. It still picks up noise in the room but it wont send a text. Very frustrating as it did the job so well for a time.

Good reliable app. Wish there was a way to check if the app is still running in the baby side remotely. Note: I am paranoid, never seen this thing close itself.

Extremely simple yet very useful. One remark: you could add a function that when a call is received the voice is directed on the speaker, so that the child at home can hear their parents directly.

My husband and I were looking for simple old school monitors and he jokingly said lets see if there is an app. Little did we know there was. And it was free and it works perfectly. We have been testing it out for the last ten min and everything about it is wonderful

I very rarely leave reviews for apps, but this one deffinately deserves one. Its so simple but also a stroke of genius. The sensitivity level is an amazing touch. As an emergency baby monitor its amazing. Absolutely fantastic.

This is a "No Brainer". It just works. About 5 minutes and I had it up and running, and I'm no GEEK. I am using it to keep in touch with a sick relative in another part of the house, especially when I am in the back yard. They don't have to do anything to get my attention other than to call out. This activates the app, and next thing I am getting a ring on my phone. Absolutely luv it.

I give this 4* because it does what it says. The only thing I would like is for the call to be made with speaker phone on automatically. So when I answer the call, I can talk to my child while I'm on my way.

Downloaded this after our actual monitor stopped working. I set the sensitivity to the default of 80. I think our baby slept through all night. I woke at 7 then heard baby crying shortly after. The app didnt make the call though. I probably just need to change the sensitivity but I'd change what the default is. I was also expecting the sleep log to show me some kind of graph, i.e. how many decibels were picked up at night, so id know what sensitivity to set it to. App is okay, can be improved.

I love this - we use on occasion when friends are over with napping babies. Particularly when they fall asleep in the car on the way over to us - they can leave the child in the car on the driveway (we can see the car from the living rm window btw!) to finish their nap which is great. There was a bit of trial and error working out the sensitivity level we're happy with - it's very sensitive (which is good) & it's great to have that level of control. A really good app.

Had got a baby monitor for my 1st born for approx 300 AED(= around 4500 INR). It workd for sm months smoothly bt then it needed either powerful batteries or constant power supply boyh of which wsnt possible all d tym. This tym when my 2nd one was born I found this app by chance. .n this has made me so happy n satisfied. ..that too at no cost.i recommend it to everyone...u sure vl b satisfied...n more thn satisfied..kudos to the programmers. .

Amazing app. Use it all the time. Just be careful if your phone on flight mode it won't be able to call another number if your child cries.

It does exactly what it promises. As now on the devices come with two sim card slots when it triggers it asks which sim card to use. So it needs u to be there and this makes it useless if u dont wish to switch off any of your si cards. It must include in the settings the default sim card choice.

Will be very good if application can prevent you that your phone is not on silence mode, or automatically switch to silent mode when start listening, in case of incoming call. Thanks

Still it would be very nice if you would update the images/colors of the app with material design colors.

Absolutely awesome!!! Sound sensitivity could pick up a pin drop!!! After trying a few apps that were useless, this one worked perfectly for our sweet babies! !

This is a baby alarm only, not a full blown monitoring app. It listens for sound, and then calls or texts a phone number when the sound goes above a threshold. It can text a photo, but there is no way to monitor sound or video actively on another device.

This is fantastic app. My son tends to wake up from nightmare, and I usually hears him only when he cries at the top of his lungs. This app is perfect as I only need to know if he is awake crying before it gets too bad. I get a call on my other mobile phone when I'm downstairs.

My son and I are out of town and I forgot my baby monitor. I was a little skeptical of how well this app would work (especially since it's free), but it works SO well. You can change the sensitivity level (that way if your baby makes little noises while he sleeps, it won't trigger it). If the noise is loud enough to trigger it, it will automatically call or text you, and then you can listen to the other end, so you can listen for whether he's still crying or just made a noise. Definitely download this app!

Does what I need for free! Easy to use. Tested it out and it called my husband's phone or whoever's phone you set. Very good sensitivity. 80 the rec level works great without picking up the busy street noise.

I dont usually write reviews but, I love this system. After 2 children I am tired of toting around entire monitor systems on trips. This is a great, quick monitor that is easy to use and very accurate.

Awesome app! Went on vacation and forgot the baby monitor. Now we can go out on the deck and what not without worrying if our daughter wakes up and we can't hear her.

I had the idea to create a Baby Monitor app, so I decided to see if it already existed. Of course it does. Even has "speaker" feature to talk to the baby.

This app is great! One of the best one yet. I tested it out to make sure it would go off when my son would cry and it never failed me.so happy I found this app now I don't have to.spend money on a baby monitor :)

Its an amazing app which works flawlessly.. Just that v need to keep sensitivity a lil high so that it does not activate at other sounds.. M very happy with it.. But since I have twins I hope u guys come up with something which can let me know which baby is up.. Lol... Thank you for this wonderful app guys.. Keep it up.. !!

Worked great, only glitch was we could not get audio TEXT alert to work with my Husband's Samsung Galaxy S5. It would only vibrate. We switched to being alerted by a call. Make sure to adjust the sound sensitivity to the your LO's room.
