About Photo Negative Scanner: View & Convert color film
Hi. We will help you rediscover some of your old memories.
Photo Negative Scanner uses your phone camera to do real time conversion of your photo negatives into digital images. Think of it as a magic loupe that you can use to see film negatives through. Instead of seeing the inverted colors of a color negative you will see the original photo.
Push the capture button to capture a crisp digital image ready to be shared with friends and family
_ Instructions for getting started_
To use the scanner first you will need to setup an appropriate lighting source to backlight you color negatives.
An easy solution is to use a laptop, phone or tablet with a white screen and maximum brightness.
1. Setup a laptop or tablet with brightness set to max
2. Open the browser
3. Type in 'about:blank' in the address bar
4. Set the browser to full screen (F11 on windows)
You are now ready to convert your old film strips.
The photo negative scanner automatically negates/inverts and corrects the colors. Simply place a photo on the negative film strip within the crosshair shown and tap the screen. This will calibrate the viewer and the preview will display the images as if the image was developed.
If the image has a blue or red tint manually adjust the white balance for the perfect photo.
Share your photos directly to Facebook, Instagram etc.
If you phone has a good camera this app can work as an alternative for a physical flatbed scanner or film negative scanner.
Photo Negative Scanner currently only supports color negatives. If you would like to also scan black and white(b&w) negatives, positives, slides or dias, please leave a comment.

ReEdit:10/2/2017 It seems to be working perfectly after fumbling with the controls. B+W works and colour! 35mm and 120mm both work as well. Awesome, thanks for the replies!
