DJI GO 4--For drones since P4

If DJI is so concerned with drone safety, how about start with an app that doesn't crash all the time! That alone would considerably reduce drone loss and property damage.

App constantly crashes. It's impossible to update the firmware on your Spark or RC from Android, you have to use an iOS device or computer. I'm now having to carry around an iPhone just so I can use my drone properly. Put some money in your Android development DJI, it seriously needs it.

App constantly says disconnected. Using note 8 and just really dumb. I can't fly my drone at all anymore cause of this. Awesome that this app is still garbage and to think DJI this it's perfect. Do you not read reviews? Do you not see that your app for you newest drones has a >3 star rating? Keep updating it, but you never seem to fix any of the major problems.

Just received my new DJI Mavic Pro Platinum. Was pretty excited to use it. Went through all the steps to get things started, and had to update the firmware. Everything worked out fine during my first flight. Then now, I can no longer connect my mobile device/remote to the drone itself. Invested a good amount of money on this drone, yet this free app does not work? What am I supposed to do now?

Before I had a problem with the compatibility of OTG cable, now , with a new cable, I cannot see the altitude and battery information when the cable is connected. I'm limited to use WiFi. This app is disgusting. Only Android users have this problem. The company just Care about Apple users. Totally disappointed with the quality of the app. You also should invest money in the software not only in the drones. I want my money back. Do not recommend DJI drone yet. Horrible app.

I have a Pixel 2 XL and this app won't allow me to connect my phone to my drone. It happened at a really bad time when I was relying on it for footage - I'm amazed that this phone has been out for so long and still doesn't work. It has really knocked my confidence with DJI as a company, and in my reliance on this drone. Some communication from DJI about what they are doing to fix this would at least be a start.

4.1.22 version has a bug that kills the telemetry on the osd when using an OTG cable between your device and the spark controller. Everything else seems to work, but that is a major safy issue as well as an annoyance. DJI continues their cycle of lacking support for Android. I have 5 DJI UAS and had to buy an iPad dedicated to my DJI equipment. That is not an option for the spark, we need support.

Pure junk!! Shame on you DJI!!! A company of your magnitude should do a lot better! THIS APP IS HORRIBLE and there's no alternative. How can you have such horrible reviews and not fix anything?!?!?! Connecting to the drone is a nightmare every update is a horrible experience that takes hours. You don't improve you just get worse read your reviews all you see is complaints.

Crashes every other flight. Terrible video lag. I really want to like this app! If it worked it would be 5 ⭐ for sure. Update: crashes on every flight on my brand new Pixel 2. Don't want to have to buy an iOS device just for this. What about people who are using this app without the controller and the app crashes? Huge safety issue! Please fix soon!

Can't even complete the activation on my Android phone. Works fine on my iPad. The old app worked on both iOS and Android. But I can't get spark or Osmo to work on Android Oreo at all. They know it doesn't work. I'm using a Google pixel XL. Unless you have an iOS device, don't waste your money

I actually managed to connect to drone after several hours attempting to update firmware. (It wanted to be connected to drone via WiFi AND internet WiFi to download. It would use cell data, but would stop after about 20% each time before complaining about not being on WiFi for the download.) I got to fly it, but it kept telling me it was a bad connection. But it flew. A few days later, I reconnected. The app insisted it was not connected. Now I'm sunk. Return.

Ridden with bugs. Tried on three different Android devices, none of them worked properly. Height, distance and speed of the drone is not displayed. Quick shot modes do not work properly, only the dronie. Shallow focus not working. Take off / landing function unreliable. Programmable buttons do not work ... ... This is really a disgrace of an app. Very poor programing renders this drone useless. Shockingly poor product.

Sucks the big one! The drone is great but the app is so bad it often disconnects mid-flight, as it did 3 times today and subsequently didn't record any flight data. No doubt because there is no flight data, their support staff would have no clue what went wrong, which would be of no surprise as their customer support is equally as rubbish! To have such an expensive gadget hovering awaiting my instructions, but I can't give it any because the app has crashed, is ridiculous and completely unacceptable.

Few things that bug me. The app when in background doesn't apparently have a timer for hibernation. GPS keeps sucking power. Also the loading screen doesn't remember what drone you have used the last time. The Auto-take off/landing icons sometimes invoke the Android menus because so near the lower edge. Just to clear up other comments. If the app crashes mid flight you can land with just the controller. Update: Now the app has crashed every flight at some point.

Can't connect to my Spark. Won't get past the wifi connection screen. Please, DJI, just let me connect to the stupid Spark controller. Don't force me to use these tutorials. They don't work. Also, bring back OTG functionality. I tried to go back to 4.1.15, but of course DJI made that impossible. Right now the app is worthless.

Horrible app! Insanely slow and laggy when using your drone. You'd hope after paying $1k for a drone that at least you can operate it properly without the app crashing, but nope. Please sort this out DJi at the price of your drones this is just not acceptable. Also please bring back the OTG compatibility with the Spark as connection using WiFi is pretty bad.

You'd think that after so many negative reviews all saying the app crashes during flight, they would work on fixing it. Nope. I'll just add my voice to the crowd. The app crashes on every flight. But it gets better. It restarts my phone (galaxy s7 edge). I've never had an app crash my phone, until now. Very frustrated that I spent so much money on a drone that I can't fly properly due to a poorly developed app. Fix if you want to retain customers.

For heaven sake, how can dji releases such a poor quality app? Do buyers who paid premium to deserve this level of quality? Worst still, no feedback or follow ups. If not because min level is 1 star I would have rated 0. This app is highly unstable, crashes 40% of the time, choppy video, no OTH support, offline map disappeared, sluggish, unable to link RC frequently, just few out of many to mention! This app simply just tarnish DJI image.

This does not work on my galaxy s8 with the controller on my mavic. The wifi seems to work but is hard to use with the controllers always moving on the display. I could Only use 2.4ghz on my s8 in wifi mode. It does mostly work on my note 4 however with the controller. If not connected to a Network it constantly want to update the no fly database But it never can update

Haven't flown my spark since OTG stopped giving me telemetry. I'd love it if I didn't have to go through the hoops of connecting through a OTG cable, but wifi is useless. This app is definitely stirring me away from any further Dji product purchases

This version was made connection between drone (Mavic pro) and my RC disconnected in the mid of flight. It was causing my drone landing and stuck on the top of the tree at 30 meters height. It was cost about IDR 500,000 (US$ 40) to rescue it. How to down grade it? During used .18 versions theres no issue.

This app was fine for me until I updated it. It seemed to remove the option to connect to my drones Wi-Fi while inside the app (which was convenient) now I can't do that anymore. It tells me I need to activate my drone despite the fact that I did that already. When I updated the app I lost all my settings.

Just got my spark , $600 and your app won't work. I can't fly my drone without it. Now I have this expensive camera that won't even leave the ground. I'd wish my money came with a junk app so you where unable to cash my check.. I should have spent $100 at Wal-Mart instead.

Android Sony Xperia XZ... Brand new drone and haven't flown more than 1 km away without the App freezing up somewhere, stopping and taking forever to reboot. Had to fly it blind back using the controller & reducing metres. It seems unless you have an iPhone, this Android App doesn't work. Without the App, the thing it's mostly useless. Never been so disappointed and never even given a rating on any app. If you have an Android phone, seriously consider not purchasing this Mavic Pro or perhaps others unless they fix up the app. For such a great product, I'm thinking of returning it as you need to app to fly it and it doesn't work. I'm not the first to rate the app low either...

Cannot activate drone with Pixel phones. Needed to use an iPhone to do it. Connection to the drone's or controller's WiFi everytime you fly is also super finnicky and you have to forget and reconnect to the network to get it to work. It does work eventually but it's a very unpolished experience.

I just got the spark back from warranty after a hardware fault. Now I fear I'll have to submit a request for a refund as the software simply doesn't work. I'm running stock Android on a Pixel 2 and can't connect using the controller or direct to aircraft. If you're thinking about buying, think again. The app used to work, what have you done DJI?

Absolute rubbish. Can not even connect with pixel 2xl. I only fly this in my dream. And i dont know soon as i connect my phone to controller, it starts charge my phone. Is it oreo issue? Why can you guys gives us an option for charging? Seems like its only issue with android esp. Oreo. Plz fix

DJI Please invest in a fix for this app. Something must surly be the culprit so please remedy it. I don't want to buy an iphone or use 3rd party apps that i read do work like the go4 and never crash. Please fix

No longer useable. On occasion it might connect to my Mavic Pro, but disconnects within minutes, before even finishing any updates or taking off. I basically now have a $1000 paperweight.

Developer, please bring back the OTG connection to Android based phones. We paid so much money on the drones only to face such an important issue which is CONNECTION on this very app that we can rely on. The controller icon kept flashing even after calibration of controller. GPS calibration was so difficult compared to before. THIS IS REALLY A FRUSTRATING MOMENT.

I'm seeing hundreds of 1 star reviews for the this new years version. This folks.... Is why you don't update something important like an app that controls your $1000 drone without checking up on it. Just flew my mavic with the old version and it's working perfectly. Don't upgrade to the newest version.... Obviously.

Using with Samsung s7 Edge and app freezes device after flight. I then have to wait for the battery to fully discharge. Guess this will shorten the battery life of my device over time. Contacted dji support and they suggested unistalling and reinstalling the app. Didn't work....

When this app launches (I am on an updated Note 8), it likes to refresh the screen over and over again. I cant update nor activate. I have a new spark. I am not new to this process. I very disappointed and frustrated. I will be returning the drone tomorrow, unfortunately.

This app is so unstable, unreliable and glitchy. It works for me less than 10% of the time. Considering the ££££ cost of the device it's meant to support this app is a shambles. I'm thoroughly unhappy with it. I've been through all the forums, tried contacting support through the app (3 weeks and no reply or acknowledgement) and have done all the updates and restarts but the app is worse than when I started. Seems like dji are punishing android users.

updated firmware for new years eve events, app crashing was constant and made drone unusable. Tried again new years day, and won't even connect, tried wifi and also had constant disconnects. I'll be moving on to another more reliable product. If you recieved dji drone as gift, suggest return as dji not interested in android customers.

Google Pixel 2 VERSION does not have portrait mode, the app is stuck in landscape from main screen. Something so trivial, I don't think the app developer have attention to detail..

Runs between 5-10 mins before crashing while I'm flying. I have to restart it and hope my drone is in a safe spot to hang out until the app reloads. I'm running a Google Pixel, most pure form of Android on a phone.

DO NOT BUY A DJI DRONE IF YOU HAVE A PIXEL PHONE!!! DOESN'T WORK AT ALL. SEEMS LIKE THEY HAVE NO INTENTION TO FIX IT EITHER SINCE PIXEL 2 IS OUT ALREADY...

Please bring back OTG cable support for the spark remote. The wifi connection is a nice option but not ideal for most. I'm especially disappointed because it worked in the old version of the software. This sort of "feature disable" jerk around sure seems like a marketing ploy to "encourage" people to upgrade to the mavic. Really it is quite a low move. I expected more from DJI.

Appalling. Spent 2 weeks trying to work out what is wron and still no live video link. Samsung s8. I will return drone for replacement but looks like dji dont care about android
