About Digital Locker For Documents
DigiLocker, a national Digital Locker System has been recently launched by the Govt. of India. This Digital Locker (elocker) is part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Digital India program/initiative.
You need to have Aadhaar number (issued by UIDAI-Unique Identification Authority of India) to use DigiLocker facility. Digital Locker System or DigiLocker is an Aadhar-linked facility.

- Enable e-Signing of documents
- Dedicated personal storage space (10MB).
- Document upload support from only desktop due to security
- Download eAadhar from the DigiLocker portal/website.
- Anytime and anywhere access to the documents.
Dedicated personal storage space, linked to each resident’s Aadhaar number.
Digital Locker India(DigiLocker) can be used to securely store e-documents as well as store Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) link of e-documents issued by various issuer departments.
The e-Sign facility provided as part of Digital Locker system can be used to digitally sign e-documents.

It does not work at all. Lots of advertisements. Does not search my documents even after providing complete details. Does not even sign in most of the times and keeps coming with some stupid advertisement.

Was sceptical after reading all the negative reviews, but took a chance and was pleasantly surprised. Went through the install, verifications, OTPs, doc uploads like a breeze. Can't give a 5* as the ads are irritating...
