Family Courts Act,1984

"Family Court" means a Family Court established under section 3. Family Courts Act, 1984 extends to the whole of India except the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Family Courts Act 1984 was enacted on 14 September 1984 to provide for the family courts with a view to promoting conciliation in and secure speedy settlement of disputes relating to family affairs.
