Il Madame Butterfly nasce nell’Ottobre 2001 presso la discoteca La Rocca a Cona, un club in provincia di Ferrara che dopo anni di insuccessi diviene grazie alla nuova gestione della farfalla il punto di riferimento di un’inedita situazione trasgressiva in grado di coinvolgere giovani da tutta l’Emilia Romagna e Veneto. La location contenuta, con soffitto basso, colonne specchiate e un soppalco vip si adatta perfettamente alla programmazione di ospiti del calibro di Giusy Consoli, Federica Baby Doll, Nacha World, Steve Mantovani senza rinunciare a guest come Claudio Coccoluto, Joe T Vannelli, Francesco Farfa e Ralf. Martedì 26 aprile del 2005 crolla improvvisamente il tetto della Rocca. Fortunatamente il locale è chiuso ma i soci del Madame Butterfly assistono all’incredibile scena evitando per poco la tragedia. Con abilità commerciale la Società riesce a portare a termine le trattative per aggiudicarsi lo Zoo, un locale di notevoli dimensioni ricavato da un edificio industriale. In pochi mesi di duro lavoro viene realizzata una consolle che domina la pista con un palco antistante per l’animazione ma anche una zona vip e una zona rialzata dove situare tavoli prossimi alla pista da ballo. Dotato di tutte le moderne tecnologie e un potente impianto audio il nuovo Madame Butterfly di Ferrara inaugura con successo nel settembre 2005. La grandezza del locale richiede da subito uno staff più potente e una consolle in grado di soddisfare le esigenze di un pubblico sempre più numeroso. Negli anni si alternano pertanto i principali deejay italiani e nomi internazionali come Dave Piccioni, Steve Lawler, Tiefschwarz, Desyn Masiello, Smoking Jo, James Zabiela, James Holden e Carl Craig. Nel 2008 il Madame Butterfly, grazie ad una novità societaria, entra nella illustre “famiglia” del Cocoricò di Riccione di cui fanno parte altri club tra cui il Diabolika di Roma e il Red Zone di Perugia. E’ la stagione della metamorfosi e della conferma ma è anche l’anno di Luciano, star mondiale che si ebisce a Ferrara in una serata senza precedenti. L’ultima versione del locale debutta quindi a settembre 2009 con un nuovo nome, “Madam”, e una struttura intimamente rinnovata nello stile e nei contenuti. Molteplici le innovazioni tecnologiche e di programmazione con scelte artistiche sempre più ricercate . Nomi come Alex Neri, Ellen Allien e Troy Pierce fanno per la prima volta l’apparizione alla consolle del club emiliano iniziando dopo 8 anni dalla nascita l’ennesima straordinaria avventura.
