Fantastic App! It was easy to set access permissions for each app I have installed. I find the name a bit confusing/off putting though. It would be better to replace (Donate) with Premium.

Super app. It blocks internet access effectively whilst allowing connection over LAN. Ability to control access over VPN separately is commendable. FEEDBACK for developer: 1. Applying rules takes a lot of time, even if rules for just one app is changed. Kindly speed up that process. 2. Please provide ability to filter apps based on rules, i.e. ability to filter apps that can access internet using only mobile data, only on roaming, only over WiFi, etc. as well as any combination of above. Thanks.

best firewall app, best way to save precious mobile data volume, must-have

AFWall+ is an essential app for the security and privacy conscious. I've used it for several years and am grateful to ukpriya (dev) for his/her/their work! If you're reading this, you should know that as of this writing, the app is still being actively maintained and it is well worth purchasing the donate version. If you seek to regain control of your device, this is one for your toolbox! I recently upgrade my hardware (to OP5t, now with Oreo 8.0.0) and even though I've encountered issues with the app applying rules during boot (or reboot); or, when occasionally switching from mobile to wifi only (to use vpn) I trust that AFWall+ will resolve the issue in a future update. In the interim, this issue is easy enough to mitigate for any user: simply open AFWall+ and apply rules. Definitely keep the notification for apply rules on, just in case. Thank you, dev!

If you have root, this app is a MUST, superb app, you will have full control over apps running in background and eating up your Data. hello Dev, one question though, why I can't add this app in device administration? Keep up the good work .

All my data are belong to me! If "apply rules" doesn't work anymire check if root access is still granted. I lost my "developer settings" somehow and the app only warned after a reinstallation.

Very good. However, notifications is not working anymore unless status icon is enabled.

only 5,000 downloads? (it pisses me off more people don't pay for the pro versions of apps. if you pay nothing, you should expect nothing) day by day, week by week, month by month this app is helping me block apps trying to send my usage data various places and using my resources (battery, ram, bandwidth, etc) to do it. they then sell what was never theirs to take to larger data miners, who sells to other data miners, .... & eventually various strangers to me know more about me than i do myself. sadly, that's a best case scenario. other connections it's blocking could have much worse intentions & outcomes. keeping this activity in check is well worth the price of admission. pay the good developers and buy the pro versions of apps when available. it's the least we can do.

Many years of solid development and still does as the label states. No other security/privacy app has worked as-is for this long. Just donate the dollar so ukanth&Co can keep up the good work.

Great. At this time though,.. Does not have custom ip through firewall through. Its logging feature is also for the whole wall and not app specific.

This also happened to me. After installing of AFWall + (donated) I'm not able to start logs.

After installing of AFWall + (donated) I'm not able to start logs. App crash with this error: "Unfortunately, AFWall+ (donated) has stopped". Then app restart.

Stops working sometimes, you have to reset the app to get it to work again and flush IPTables rules.

HI! New update to Magisk 11 init.d is included, phh superuser no longer recommended for use with Magisk as its built in. UNFORTUNATELY AFWall is not recognizing init.d for start up leak fix. /magisk/.core/post-fa-data.d third party init.d module available not recommended for use, please fix by adding new location provided. Will update review again as last time, still 5 stars. Keep up good work. WILL post ticket on github. Thanks

Works, who ever said dev didn't explain what Xposed does, i read about it before trying it so something was written somewhere.Its For apps that use built in droid app to do downloading for the app you blocked so even if you blocked app it won't block the app completely because droid built in app will download for it. Test it out Enable it and use default browser. It'll block downloads so something is working. Not sure if it's stealing info but it'll give you info on why file can't be downloaded with a popup. Bluetooth firewall/blocker would be nice feature though, and figure out what I need to do to make tethering work while enabled, I must have blocked something because I need to disable firewall to share with other device's. Thanks for this application. But when i active dual apps for whatsap on my xiaomi phone doesn't function, it's say not have internet connection.

I've taken the time to root my phone, remove bloat, install new rom, new browser (naked pro) & adaway & have this running fully configured for the barest of connections allowed & the logs show a sh*t ton of blocked connections. *ALWAYS* support the good devs!! I'd like to see what some of you punks who think it's ok to rag on someone and dangle voting stars over their heads when you've paid them nothing would do for the $1 to $5 bucks the apps cost. PAY the devs.

I had some problems with switching between wireless networks where the app would stop responding in version 2.6, but those seem to have been resolved, so: I'm happy I could donate to this open-source app. Keep up the good work!

this app has problem with set scripts to block some IP. and developers those not solved problems. and to many time between every updates.
