This is HenryMP, a music player in Material design of Android L.
For devices with Android 4.1 (JB) and newer.
Based on Andrew Neal's "Apollo"
Permissions:
modify/delete contents of usb storage - for playlists and caching
view network connections - check connection to internet
full network access - download covers and send bug reports
prevent phone from sleeping - to keep music playing when phone is turned off
send sticky broadcast - main service uses this
read phone status - stop music while calling
modify system settings - set ringtone
install shortcuts - pin albums to homescreen
retrieve running apps - check if HenryMP runs in background
read usb storage - load music tracks

Seemed really good and simple, but randomly stops playing. Frequently it just stops at the end of a track - the controls indicate it's playing, but it isn't. Hit pause and then play and away it goes.

Needs ability to change name of app and icon, needs colour tone changer like official app, theme chooser needs to work first time and to be way less buggy and needs an equaliser. Needs way to default what screen it opens on.

If your goal is to make a beautiful material design music player, you should start off with getting the proper material design elements, and then once you have all of those perfected, you can work on the animations. I'm finding that there are a lot of fade transitions between windows, when there should really be movement and sliding transitions. Either way, it still looks pretty nice so far.

Make it look like and animate the music player from the material design showcase clip and I'd pay twenty dollars for it.

The app is having issues loading the albums column after choosing am artist. The albums are simply not there. Also, there should be an option to change the name back to Apollo. Finally, is there a possibility that we could get a dark theme? Overall, there are some issues, but the app works as intended. Great material design.
