boon. – contactless payments

Blocked my account because I typed in the wrong pin once. The need for calling support is ludicrous and idiotic just make it try again in an hour. Also if you do choose to force people to call and email your support at least have one? It's been 5 days and the support doesn't pick up in their designated times nor do they respond to email. Will be using the rest of my balance through the credit card if you ever choose to remove my block and wait for Android pay to release in Germany. Worst app experience I've had for a long time.

Works smooth, looks nice, but cmon! Why should I top up my account first? Why not to just charge my banking account using sepa direct debit?

It worked well at the beginning, but now permanently causes unnecessary problems (i.e. new password needed, new pin required, allow phone access, set app as default payment app. Of cause it always asks these things right when I need to make a payment and other people waiting in line behind me.

OnePlus 3T with stock OS (no rooted) not supported. As someone who works in IT-Security, it makes me cringe that outdated phones who no longer receive security updates are supported, while brand-new phones running Android 7.1.1 are not.

Works brilliantly with my iphone 6. I double click the home button and point at the reader and its done in seconds. You can see your balance easily and can get records of all your payments in seconds. I love it and would give it 5 stars but my husband has a Samsung Galaxy Edge and it rarely works for him and he also has to put in a pin code even though he has a fingerprint scan on phone. He is on to boon support at the moment whom we find responsive and friendly but he has had other issues with boon before so this is the last chance saloon. Pity !! 5 stars from me 0 stars from him.

Finally Support for the Pixel XL was added! I would wish that instead of a pin you could use the imprint scanner. But other than that it's a great app that does what it should.

Sign up and use of the app is kept as simple as possible BUT i encountered a problem when trying to add a credit card: Ok, not all are scannable and thats cool but when i want to add the card details manually and press the back button as directed i only get to see the page with the form to enter my card for about 1 second bevor it just returns to the Card scan function .. No way to get the manual page to stick! Only a restart of the App lets me go back to the apps main screen :-/ help !! Ps. Please add Fingerprint Scan as log in option instead of Password :)

Oxygen OS 4 is no custom ROM, why is the OnePlus 3T phone not supported?? @boon

Great, simple and easy to use UI

I have an S6. Which worked fine before. They have updated the application and now my device is not supported. Wth... new update out. Opens the app. Says initializing but never actually finishes loading. It seems to be fixed now but I don't really want to top up the account incase it stops working again.

Die App ist top, der Support (die Antwortzeiten) ist flop. Nach dem letzten Update ist die Belegliste fehlerfrei. Jeder Zahlvorgang wird sofort mit einem Cashback belohnt. Und das nicht gerade wenig. Die Erweiterung um die boon-Card ist eine deutliche Aufwertung. Von meiner Seite eine klare Empfehlung, auch wenn die App nicht mein primäres Zahlungsmittel geworden ist und wohl nicht werden wird.

Cannot register. Tried twice with a few month in between. Support takes ages to reply. Using Galaxy S7.

Support is ridiculously slow, barely existing at all.

Apparently due to security issues boon can't be used on rooted devices... I used root to improve the security of my device far beyond an unrooted device so I don't know what this app is thinking...

Have not used it yet because I am waiting for mpass to finish it's service in October. I hope boon does not go the same way. It would be great if boon would also support MST.(magnetic secure transmission protocol). Update. I have used it once. Cons. You have to upload credit, or decide on an amount for automatic recharge. The app has to be running. You have to enter a pin.(by this time it's quicker just to use your credit card). You only have so many seconds to complete the payment before it times out.

I used to enjoy this app with my Moto X Style. It's both smart and easy to use. However, I got a Google Pixel and although I understand verifications have to be performed, it's quite frustrating to be left out... It's been 3 weeks now! I find it all the more disturbing that the app is said to be optimized for Nougat, OS only available on some Nexus and... The Pixel! I really cannot stress enough how much I like the app when it works, so please hurry up! Thanks

After taking so long to get this app working I used it once no problem but now it gets declined even though I have 20 euro Credit on my account. I was absolutely mortified and numerous emails have gone unanswered. I am 20 euro down now and will never see it again..

Don't bother adding credit, it doesn't work anywhere in Europe.

Works amazingly first time, instant payment, I waited forever for my bank to make something like this, and they were beat to it. Love this app! I'm in Ireland and it works great! So yes it works in Europe

Couldn't get to work. Locked out of account and they charged me monthly for the privilege of not using. Avoid!

Seriously MasterCard, the Nexus 6P is the flagship Google branded Android phone and it's not approved!?! I'll wait for Android Pay. Update: 3 June : still doesn't work.

I really enjoy this App, really like the fact that I can pay by Credit card in places where they usually don't accept them, and the fast nfc tap is great. what I don't like: in places with bad or slow connectivity the app loads too slow, many supermarkets just have bad connectivity in their shops and having to wait for the app to load with people behind you is no go. also, the pricing model, is not for me, I would be fine with a monthly 1 eur fee but not for top ups.
